i always thought of that dirt as a curse.. a stain on the phins.. like this wasnt really thier home..

I used to love the games back in the late 60's and 70's

all the mud and blood, and a dirty jersey was a good thing ! smash mouth football, but I got to hate the dirt as it represented baseball on our sacred field !!! go green baby!
