I just read in an article by Andy Kent, writer for the Miami Dolphins official website, that Reggie Bush chose not to switch back to #25 after the release of Will Allen. The article was titled "Musical Jerseys" due to the fact with all of the roster cuts, many other players decided to switch back to their old numbers that were in use prior to the final cuts.
So why did Reggie Bush keep his new number 22? On his Twitter account he said “I think it represents change. Change can be a good thing.” I was really fond of and intrigued by his answer. This guy has something to prove. We all know what he can do when he's healthy but what can't be measured is how bad he wants to prove he can be a true feature back.
Reggie can say that he wants it, as he has been, but it's actions such as this that make me a believer. It may seem insignificant to just change a number on one's jersey, but you guys know how these players feel about it. It's pretty much superstition for the majority of players.
Well, he talks a good one. Let's see if he can back it up
This is the opportunity you've been looking for Reggie. Good luck man and make us proud!
