The Miami Dolphins have released safety Mark Restelli today, bringing the roster total to 75, ahead of the required 6pm deadline for a 53-man roster.
Restelli went undrafted out of California Polytechnic State University in 2009, before signing with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.
He signed a futures contract with the Dolphins in January, before the lockout stopped all league activity, and was listed as the third strong safety behind Yeremiah Bell and Tyrone Culver.
He appeared in all four Dolphins preseason games this year, totaling five tackles and two passes defensed.
