Cam Wake... One Year Wonder?
its only 3rd game... but... Cameron Wake was only a One Year Wonder?I don't like this idea... but he has 3 games, and fails to put real presure to opponent QB's, againts 2 backup tackes (Pats and Browns) and if I remember good since preseason see the same...
He has 2 Sacks... but must time I see him he was out of plays... pancaked or forced out of plays...

Stop! Stop this negative crap!
One year wonder?!? He had a sack in the first two games! One game without a sack and he is a one year wonder? He is no longer an under the radar player and offenses plan around stopping him which makes his play making ability harder.
Back away from the edge everyone. When you’re all dying a a slow gurgling death of depression from beating yourselves up I’ll still be holding my head high. You have two choices: be negative and cry yourselves to sleep, or go with the punches and keep some dignity intact and keep rooting on. I for one find it better to be an optimist. No, it’s not easy watching us lose but I’ll keep my sanity and look onward to a new Sunday next week.

I think you are being a little over the top with your criticism about negativity
He just made a brief fanshot. I think you are being “overly negative” about this post
Please refer to the following video regarding the extremes of panic and calming people down
"The first thing I do when I get out of bed and feel the jolt in my knees is think of Roy Winston. On the second step, my calcified Adam's apple starts bobbing, and I think of Carl Eller. A few more steps in the dark and it's Willie Lanier. By the time I get to the bathroom, I'm flashing back to Dick Butkus and Ray Nitschke. And when the light finally comes on, I just hope that somewhere in the darkness they're thinking of me, too" - Larry Csonka.
He played before my time but one of the toughest SOBs to ever play!
First off, he had a good game today
He was pressuring McCoy quite often
Second, he has 2 sacks in 3 games, that is on pace for 10-12 sacks
Not a one year wonder at all
Miami's Superstars: Reggie Bush, Brandon Marshall, Jake Long, Karlos Dansby, Cameron Wake, Vontae Davis and Sean Smith (just wait), Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Mike Stanton, Gaby Sanchez, and Hanley Ramirez. :)
I try to be not negative..
but al lot of times I see in plays… he was blocked, pancaked, or simple forced out of play…
he has some preasures and hits too, yes, but not at the level of last year…
He faced 2 backup Tackles (one was a rookie) he was a probowler last year, in the paper was a missmatch in favor to him… but he does only a regular job against both…
I don’t see an upgrade on his game against 2010-11 Season… maybe a little regresion…
against the Pats, I seen him get held on several occasions that werent called!
Plus after last season, teams plan against him & Misi is not generating anything to help him! Misi should be the one getting talked about.

againts Pats...
he play against a backup tackle, who was a Rookie!!! In theory Wake was BIG MORE EXPERIENCED, and Elite player (he enter with this tag this year) in theory could solve any “trick” that could use a rookie backup tackle… but well I have a personal trauma againts it…
About Misi… YES!!! whats do Misi, Langford and company?
I Ask about Wake because he was the “leader” elite player in this front line… don’t have the stat but the front line permite more than 5 ypc to the other teams… we are on the teams with less sacks, hits and preasures to QB’s…
I have another question… They sin of overconfidence? have a too looooooooooong offseason thinking they are a top5 defense… a lot time to brain-wash themselves.. .and dont start to practice with full strenght, becuase think they are finished product…
now 3 games later, the offense look better that last year… but defense looks wrost…
and holds only count if they are called....
yes he has 2 sacks, but the eye test tells anyone who has been watching, he goes regressed tremendously since last year.

As I recall Wake was held at least 7 times by that rookie RT of Patsies. They count because they kept him from getting to Brady.
Just think how stupid the average Jest fan is, and then realize that half of them are even stupider! ( a parody of a George Carlin line)
I was at the game in Cleveland yesterday, wake was almost unstoppable on 1on1. Cleveland double teamed him the majority of the game. If you wanna blame someone blame the rest of the d-line, no pressure what so ever!!!
I don't blame anybody
I only ask…
and again here was my points:
He has a lot favorable one-on-one matches in all games
he made two sacks, but in more than 50% of the pass plays he was blocked in any way, and he in not a BIG factor in Pass preasure, he enter in to this season with the label of “ELITE PASS RUSHER” and a dont see an elite player in the field…
I don’t say Cam Wake sucks, but I say he dosent play at the level he could do.
and i am not saying that he is bad either
but he is worse than last year

As far as one year wonder goes....
Wake had two stellar years to start with. I dont feel that he is playing to his potential this season…maybe he got complacent, maybe he got older…I dont know…i think he is better than he is playing which sounds like something an apologist says.

The problem is more what is around Wake
he is the ONLY person on our team with pass rush ability. That makes the offenses protection schemes much easier, because they only need to focus on him. They chip, double, roll away from, cut, and anything else you could think of a team doing to him in order to neutralize his rush. Everybody else on the defensive front is usually basic 1v1 blocked and contained, so the pressure is lacking. Yet another one of last year’s deficiencies that is still present this year..
