1992 Chargers from 0-4 to Division Title....

It has been 13 years since any team started 0-3 and made the playoffs.  And since 1990, when the NFL expanded its playoff field to 12 teams, only three teams have survived 0-3 to reach the postseason -- the '92 San Diego Chargers (who were 0-4), the '95 Detroit Lions (back in Barry Sanders' heyday), and the '98 Buffalo Bills.

I don't blame Tony very much because he wasn't supposed to be our Head Coach.  If most of you remember ...Bill Parcells interviewed first REX RYAN but he got scared away by Rex's personality and Parcells is a control freak so he hired TONY SPARANO .....
Because Ladies and Gentlemen, this looks like a Sad Soap Opera.
Steve Ross you should not hire people that you don't trust and this is the first rule in any business, so do your job and FIRE THEM.
I still believe that we can make the  playoff as wild card.  I think you guys will call me crazy but I BELIEVE.

All three were wild-card teams and none reached their conference championship games. Of the three, only San Diego won a wild-card game, but then lost in the divisional round.

    Star-divide

I know that most of you are as mad as I.   After watching yesterday's game against the Brown I have more concern now during the 2007 season. This team has zero confidence in winning and that's Sparano's fault.  I know a mid-season change won't do much but we need new blood.  I am with a lot of you... This regime is done. How is possible that every year we miss drafting a TE and a DE.?

I think DEFENSE wins Championships and even last year's Packers had the best Rushing Linebacker and 2 opportunistic CB and our Walden....released by Miami and a star in Green Bay.

Our talent evaluation stinks and this is Jeff Ireland's fault, along with Parcell's of course.

We wasted a lot of money on players like Wilford, Crocker, Gibril Wilson, Jake Grove, etc etc. and those were done by Parcells - Ireland duo and not Sparano.

If we lose to San Diego, go into the buy and then get beat by the jets it's a guarantee that we will se major changes.

If u want to look at the bright side, I would say there hasn’t been a game yet that we lost because of something they did rather than us screwing up. It’s not like there has been a blowout like 49-7 or something, we could have easily beaten the texans and the browns and be 2-1 right all geeked up going into thhe chargers game.

    I believe

Anything is possible in till it is mathematically impossible. Can we make the playoffs still? Sure we could. This teams lack mental toughness and the mentality of winning. So I doubt it in less Sparano can turn it around. All well, never hurts to believe does it?

    obviously post season is desired...

But I’ll settle for some good football games. As long as the Dolphins stay competitive every week and put on a good show there’s worse things in the world. Only so many teams get a post season appearance and its definitely a special treat to the city.

I will prepare for the worst

It will hurt less that way.

    I believe... your smokin' somthing

If you think our Phins are making the playoffs. I do agree with everything else in your post about bad decisions.. it’s about a 10-1 ratio at best..

As much as it hurts to say it, I am highly doubtful this coaching staff can turn it around. They are Soft. They have made the players Soft. Attitudes & Body Language says it all. The players know major change is coming, tough to get mentally prepared to win in that environment… And Henne (statistics aside) is not our franchise QB..

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love it it they went out & rattled off 6 victories in a row & got back into the hunt, but honestly what are the odds? About as good as Marino coming out of retirement (though I’m damn sure he can still throw bullets!!)

But I’ll get in the spirit despite my brain….
Go Phins! 10-6 still possible (everyone say your prayers at night…)

Born in Miami, I bleed Aqua & Orange! I'm now stuck in CT, smack in between the "Jests" & "Patsies". I stand alone on PhinPhan Island, the lone sunny spot in an otherwise cold & dreary New England. (HELP, I'm surrounded by liberals!!) and it's cold..... too damn cold.....
