What does Cleveland, (the holiday classic) A Christmas Story, and the Dolphins have in common ? I'll tell you,...

When planning our trip to Cleveland I discovered part of my wife's favorite movie was shot here in 1982. Since the house has been restored and turned into a museum as well, we decided to go for a look/see.

The movie, A Christmas Story, takes place in 1932 and has many scenes that are too funny. Upon arriving we made our way to the gift shop, got our tickets, and took the tour. It was neat hearing the backstory and the history of how it came to be.

But just what does all this have to do with the Dolphins ? I'll tell you. As it turns out, on of the most popular scenes in the movie has a bit of a slip up in it. You see, either the writer or director had a cameo in the picture. It was when the "Old Man" was looking at his "major award" ( the leg lamp ) fro outside while his Wife was positioning it in the front window. During that scene a neighbor walked up ( the cameo ) and asked "what's going on ?". Well, as I said, the movie took place in 1932,......and the neighbor is wearing an old school knit Miami Dolphins Winter stocking cap !!! Too funny,.....Dolphins didn't enter the league for another 25+ years.

And there's your daily piece of worthless Dolphins trivia. Just thought you should know as the holiday season will soon be here and now we all can be on the lookout for that Dolphins cap. I'll leave you with this little saying,....IF IT'S BROWN, FLUSH IT DOWN !

GO DOLPHINS !!!
