Sparano on using Bush and Thomas together
Is it just me, or does Sparano seem to make everything harder than it has to be?

Idk what is so hard about using Reggie
as the cat back he is. Toss the ball to him to the left, throw screens, and use him on 3rd and long situations….not that hard

Those are the obvious.
he should be watching tape of reggie from new orleans. And putting him and thomas back there together should be a no brainer as well. Keep the defense on their heels.

Reggie and his speed opens things up for other players and that is it....
I just dont see how Reggie is thought of as a big play maker? Maybe fans still think of him at USC. Yes he is fast but that is it. The numbers dont lie. 2006-2010 Bush played in 60 games as a Saint. If you add his rushing and receiving numbers
818 touches….13 a game
29td’s
26 plays of 20+yards
Those are ok numbers but I think Miami fans are expecting more….These are Ronnie Browns numbers from 2006 -2010….61games played
1073 touches…17 a game
33td’s
27 plays for 20+yards
I know Brown and Bush are very different in style of play, but there stats are close
You are not crazy. Sparano is a cancer.
Sparano is completely incompetent and makes everything harder. His misguided conservative ‘fearful’ offensive mentality had cost the Dolphins numerous games.
The offensive line is a joke. he routinely throws payers under the bus and while talking as if he is the smartest guy in the room.
Ireland is just as bad and the Dolphins will remain a laughing stock until they are both gone.
The question is who to replace them??

Hey Blazer Fan
You back up your statement on Sparano with some decent reasoning. What is your reasoning for offhandedly throwing Ireland in the same category?

The little protégé Ireland has been underwhelming as well
The little protégé Ireland has been underwhelming as well. Dumps Ginn an Martin then realizes 3 years later the team needs speed. Continuously missing on offensive linemen.
Last year it was obvious BM was limited by lack of a WR to knock the top off the defense. This was obvious to me from my couch prior to the start of the season! Ireland a step slow and a dollar short just like Sparano.
He completely overspends on luxury RB’s when the offensive line is clearly bad. Snelling and Sproles could have been signed, leaving multi draft picks for the trenches/ pass rusher and even enough money left over to sign a top tier offensive linemen in FA.
Worst of all Ireland convinced Ross Sparano was a good coach when Ross wanted to dump him and hire someone else. Ireland thinks Sparano is a good coach, enough said.
4 years in and the Dolphins are unable to protect or pressure the QB. That is coaching AND talent evaluation and is a complete failure.
Ross screwed up huge by letting Ireland convince him that Tony is a good HC and that Ireland knows what he is doing. Ross had better find a top flight talent evaluator ASAP to replace Ireland with. And that guy IMO needs to find a a HC that can install a modern spread offense and attack teams. The Sparano, Cowher, Fisher coaching mentality is the past. Time to model the teams that are having success in the modern passing league like the Pats, Eagles and Packers.

I dont understand how having Reggie and Thomas on the field is better for the offense
if it a running play that mean Thomas or Reggie going be the lead blocker or if it a passing play why would you want a extra RB instead of a WR? Unless you guys want us to run the wildcat again I don’t see how having 2 RB on the field at the same time help
Our Redzone Offense Is Terrible. We The Only Team In The Division That Have Lost. So Far The National Media Look Like They Know More About The Team Than We Do. It Going Be A Long Season If We Cant Score In The Redzone
The D doesn't know of you are going to
Pound it up the middle with thomas, or go outside with bush, it brings some surptise
Captain of the Landry Jones bandwagon
Chad Henne for the 2012 pro bowl
Member of the Daniel Thomas bandwagon
Vontae Davis and Sean Smith = Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain 2.0
All hail the mighty brandstater

both in the backfield
reggie motion to the slot. Or a reverse hand off. Or a wildcat play. Or a option sweep.
I mean, the possibilities are endless. Whats not to understand??
Using two of your best weapons, maximizing their strengths….its a no brainer.
