Can the personal attacks stop, Please?
There are always going to be fans that have different opnions. There will always be trolls. Just because you dont agree with someone, you dont call them a name. I am not used to this & will snap back! I dont deserve to be banned because our team is losing & my opnion is different. I am a former Military Officer. I am in no way, shape, or form: Used to being called names on the computer. If you dont like what I say, you dont have to respond or not respond with name calling. I dont go into threads where I go "looking to start stuff".. Next thing you know we will be throwing snowballs at Santa! or atleast Oranges at the Orange Carpet! (Well, that doesnt sound bad honestly) I know losing is the main reason, but no one on this site can do anything about it! After a good couple of W's, it'll start to go away, but why not "nip it in the bud"?

Trust Me: I know the losing doesnt help & people say things..
But dont call people names unless you know each other & are “playing around”. A few wins will solve this, but it needed to be said before it got way too far out of hand. We have a “diivided site”, and every human has a different opnion. But why attack the groups of people you dont like? Why do grown adults call people names on the computer? I have never went into threads & called the poster, or someone posting in the thread, anything. I add my 2 cents if I like the thread or try to have a friendly debate if I dont totally agree.. Honestly, if I get called something, or almost anyone else. As humans, we will respond. But we are the ones who will get banned! We dont have to get along, but some respect would be nice!

Well since this site seems to have about 15 posters who do 80% of the posting...
I’d imagine any seriously (kidding, playful stuff aside) writhing stuff is from people who hop on to share their 2 cents when it strikes their head to be heard by people they deem worthy of their literacy and poignant dialect. I enjoy the bickering about actual performance details and pointing out conflicting stats but truly name calling should be left for online gaming and off of message boards or blogs or whatever we lazy people call them now. If you do not have the capability of rational or irrational discussion without using words best suited for your 3rd grade bully then stay away, let the rest of us mourn our love for the dolphins in peace and quiet.

I’m a realist and while I’m as loyal a dolphin fan as you will find I still have negative comments about things they do. I have lots of positive comments too but nobody seems to notice those.
It seems that if you have anything constructive to say or any opinion that not Rah Rah go dolphins that you’re either a troll or a fair weather fan. Well I’ve been a fan since I was a little boy… Through the good and through the really bad… So just because you don’t agree with me does not mean you can get mean and nasty.
I must say 99% of the sites followeres are A+ people and only a handfull of bad apples.

You are right. Most people are fine. Also, some people lose it once or twice because of a bad day
One thing I will say, people get attacked personally for criticizing the team or for being optimistic about the team. Possibly more for the former than the latter, but I think that is inevitable because people are down about losing.

You guys are great…mean that. Same as E said about leaving another site. On the site I used to post on it was soo bad people were talking about peoples kids and throwing out racial slurs. These were Dolphin fans.
I checked in on this site 3 yrs. back, among many other sites. Over time I realized this one was far superior to all the others. I was waiting to see the attacks on each others opinions, they never came. I used to write posts that I was extremely proud of, stopped a couple of years ago due to my experience on the other site. This site has got the creative juices flowing again and I hope to make a post soon . Until then I will comment and get a couple of laughs here and there.

I suppose i am guilty of a little name calling here and there… The mistake i have made in the past is not throwing in a LOL or a smiley face. I like to talk shit and make light of mine and others opinions at times. To me, it is a sign of respect if i choose to reply or engage in a topic with someone. For example…enhalen and i engaged in some banter earlier and i assume all is well. We disagreed on a topic, he called me out, i called him out, we laughed about tosh.0..it was beautiful…
On the other hand…. I do think people can be a little too sensitive from time to time. I am not saying that you are E Dove, but developing thicker skin is a quality that most people should work on in this world. I am a mental health counselor and i use a lot of teasing to encourage people to take themselves and life a little less seriously. If someone gets to you…it is on you for letting it happen. We have the choice of how we react every time something comes up. We can choose to ignore…we can choose to react…
The short reply would be to take everything with a grain of salt… dont let any one define who you are… be mentally tough and no one can really get to you.

I may be guilty of some of the stuff you are talking about, and if that is the case, I do apologize. Sometimes I let my temper get the better of me and I post stuff before I really think it through. We can disagree on stuff and still have civil debates arguing the different points.
Although, can we still say things that may technically be calling names if they are true? Like Alpha is a perv, Nicky is short, or Mosul is near god-like in his blog running and article writing abilities? Kudos to E_Dove for speaking up. Even though I’m a Jets fan (no throwing garbage or spoiled vegetables) I thought I would throw in my thoughts. From what I have seen so far, Mosul_DolFan is doing a good job. When someone steps over the line, one option is just to post “Reported” hit the flag button and let him handle it. When people get in arguments with either Trolls from other sites or with people from their own site who are stepping over the line it derails the thread and makes the thread about the fight rather than the topic. Once someone types “reported” others can simply “Rec” the post to voice their disapproval of the offensive post. There’s an old saying “Just because someone invites me to an argument doesn’t mean I have to accept the invitation.” Just my two cents as a visitor.

Amen to everything you said. Let me tell you something. Last year I got trashed in this sight for merely expressing my opinion. If you critizice the team for whatever you see wrong (and there is plenty of that), you will be trampled by a few who just cannot accept any other opinion than theirs. They are on an eternal denial about our team and will label you a fair weather fan, just because according to them, you are just not supposed to be critical if you are a good fan. In other words, or 0-2 start and our losing 11 out of 12 home games since last years, are to be overlooked and simply go on cheering, just like Sparano keeps doing at the sidelines. I have gotten trashed a few times for telling like I see it. Anyways, I am with you all the way. Congrats for standing up.
