I will warn you I drop a couple of naughty words here so if you don't like that, don't read. I am sure you will love going to the other 132 fan posts that qualify as comments or fan shots.
I am not going to give your inspirational bullshit speeches. I'm not going to tell you to give the team a chance. I am not going to give you a fan post that just goes over 75 words with the same old shit here. I am going to tell you how I feel, what needs to happen, and what we can do. If you care to listen, feel free to. If not, bye bye.
First off, to Bill Parcells. Suck it pal. You made the comment on the booyah network that "you didn't believe the Dolphins could come back." You built the team Einstein. You picked Jake Long. You got all your choirboys from Dallas to join. You put Jeff Ireland in a position he is obviously not ready for. You laid the foundation down of this Dolphins team. Remember in 2008 we were supposed to believe. Well thanks you big Tuna fuck, I can't believe what I see on the field on a weekly basis. So, how about you take your comments on ESPN and put them in the box you packed when you left Davie.
I was listening to the game on the radio yesterday and visualized Tony Sparano fist pumping that first field goal. All excellent drives in the first that couldn't be finished by even a stinking field goal. Two missed field goals. DC$ has become DC!@#^*. Then again Carpenter should have been kicking extra points, not field goals in the first half. However, wasn't that what we saw last year? Field goal fiestas when the Dolphins played.
Then I heard that horrible call on 3rd and 14, along with the last play when you thought they were going on 4th down only to call a time out and then punt. I thought Dan Henning died or something. OK, a little strong. Retired. Is his ghost calling the plays, or is this hotshot who said they were going to open up the field? How about you open up a can of Coke and choke on it instead?
By the way, Nolan Carroll on Andre Johnson, great idea. You were going to put double coverage on arguably the best receiver in football with Nolan Carroll and Reshad Jones? Really? That doesn't sound too smart. Double S should have been in there somewhere. And what is up with this defense? Did Mike Nolan take a mental health season or something? This defense was 5th in the league last year and right now are on pace to be 35th, and there's only 32 teams. Yeah that's how bad they are. Jason Taylor said it best recently...
"It's not coaching, it's not ownership, it's not the fans. It's the players in this room that are doing dumb things and kind of getting in our own way, and until we stop doing that, we're going to be sitting here with long faces and trying to figure this thing out. I'm not sure we all understand the magnitude of what we're trying to do here and what's at stake. If you can't get it, get out of the way, we'll get somebody that will."
This is a man who has been sitting with this franchise for years and sees the bone headed bullshit that has gone on for years. From Jimmy Johnson running Marino out, to Nick Saban lying to us all, to 1-15, and now the bogus trifecta that can be hardly called a winning perfecta. Us fans have seen this shit long enough.
Jeff Ireland is incapable of bringing this team to the next level, Tony Sparano, who is a supposed offensive line coach doesn't get the fact that Mario Williams is going to steamroll Marc Columbo throughout the game. Perhaps if you used Garner in the beginning, Henne wouldn't have thrown the pick. No, lets make Columbo a revolving door for the Houston LB corps to run through. Hell, the owner of the team is a jackass too. I wouldn't be surprised if Ireland is fired for Carl Peterson considering the fact Ross is such good friends with this bonehead. This team has played it safe for too long. I am tired of the crap we have seen for years. Sure one magical season made us all believe in change. When CP10 fell from the heavens into our arms, and what happened with that? We got in by virtue of luck due to the fact Brady got injured and the Jets couldn't close.
The Dolphins are my favorite football team. I believe they will be better. I remember we all here said how they were rebuilding. You can only rebuild for so long. It has been 4 years since Parcells arrived and then invoked that wonderful clause by Wayne where he could take the money and run. Other franchises like Atlanta, New Orleans, Green Bay, and even the stinking Jets have taken their teams to the next level. Teams like Detroit, Buffalo, and St Louis seem to be turning the corner. And don't give me the it's only week 2 line. We saw all three teams end their seasons on positive notes last year. Us? We got to watch our team lose to two of the three when we had the lead only to end the season the same way this one began, getting our balls kicked by Bill Belichik and his boys. Not my kind of football life buddy. While you look and see all that positive stuff going on, we Dolfans sit here as some other big name has conned us into believing they will bring the Fins back to relevancy. That we would once again be the super team we were back in the 70s and 80s. However, it is not going to happen with Ireland, Sparano, and Stephen Ross as the owner. Sedano asked the question today, is there any team you would rather be than the Dolphins right now? They all struggled to think about it for a few minutes and came up with the Colts and Seahawks. And I bet you any money the Colts will suck harder for Luck more than us, and if Ireland doesn't get fired, we will end up with a guard for our first round pick.
So Dolfans, I urge you. If you want to make a point, you need to hit them in the pocket book. Stop going to games. Let them blackout the rest of the year. Tailgate in the backyard. We need to hit Ross in the wallet. Maybe he will realize what direction the team is headed to now. I wanted so bad to come to Miami and watch a game this year and meet many of you great people here. I think I will save my money. Otherwise, be a Cub fan and blindly follow no matter how badly the people on top show you how they appreciate your business and loyalty.
I needed to vent. Thanks for reading. I hope we can do much much better against Cleveland on Sunday, and possibly beat the Jets and Chargers, which I feel is too much to ask, but you never know on any given Sunday.
Update: So Tony responded to JT"s comments, and here is his "remarkable" reply:
“My reaction is if after two games you don’t believe you can win, something is wrong with you,” Sparano said. “We do everything in our power here to fester (sic) that kind of environment here. But at the end of the day, you got to go out there and have success. You have to feel like you’re having success.
Gee Tony, was flying your boy Ireland on a plane to San Fran to polish Harbaugh's knob the way your franchise fester's success? I'll hang up and wait on your answer.
