Why Henne lost us the game

During his off season training program he did not get those defensive players in shape!!!!

Ok now for my real write up. Here is my take on what we learned today.

Henne: That’s 3 games in a row that Henne looks like a franchise QB. And coming from me that says a lot. I was all upset that Ireland didn’t upgrade the QB. What I didn’t realize is that he did upgrade it by taking the shackles off of Henne.

Bush: Bush was great in the first quarter but he wore down quick. The idea of making him an every down back is a mistake. Maybe it was dictated by injuries but after 10 plays he looked like just another running back. We need to keep him fresh so that in the 4th quarter he can make the big plays.

Marshall: For all his stats he had just a good game. Too many mistakes to be a great game. Now imagine if he can clean that up. Catch that TD and hold on to a couple drops.

Fasano: Great game… if he can bring this week in week out. We are playoff bound.

Bess and Hartline: These guys played well enough to win.

O-Line: Played better than I expected but still way too many mistakes and 4 sacks is ridiculous.

Now for the defense

Nolan: If it’s broke change something. I felt the first two drives were a gift because there were no adjustments, no pressure and no changes. Crap if you blitz and they score a touchdown on you at least you tried.

Cornerbacks: We need to bring in Allen because after Smith and Davis there is nobody!!!!

Safety: Jones gave up that 99 ½ yard TD because he took himself right out of the play.

Linebackers: Tall order to cover those tight ends but we have to do a better job

The real failure in this game was on Sparano. The new softer Sparano let his team get beat by lack of conditioning. Our defense was sucking wind after the first drive and never recovered. How do we let a north east team beat us in our own HEAT. Thank god the game was not at 1PM our guys would have melted.

Last but not least we kept it close with one of the 3 best teams in the NFL. We lost but conditioning is something we can fix. If the offense plays like this all year we will be in the playoffs and anything can happen.
