That's my approach. Lets face it, the patsies are no push over. As a matter of fact they are good, REAL GOOD. So instead of some doomsday thoughts, lets focus on the things that went right.
Chad was a beast. He looked calm under pressure all day, and beside from having some long ball trouble was accurate and precise. The knock has been (and probably still should be) that he's robotic in his demeanor and play, well last night it was anything but. He scanned (get it?) multiple reads, picked an open receiver, and threw accurate strikes all night long. Give me this guy 15 more times and we got a shot this year.
Reggae Bush (intentional) was solid. He will never be Adrian Peterson, ever. BUT he showed he's still got the explosiveness that will be a huge help to this offense.
B Marsh is back. Looked solid aside from a few mental errors. He's an absolute monster when he wants to be and from the looks of it he and chad are on the same page. Poised for a huge year fantasy football players, buy now before he's untouchable.
Offensive line was OK (which is a lot better than I thought). Pats got after chad when they were able to sell out and bring the house but otherwise they gave him a decent pocket and provided early running lanes for Reggae. Jake Long is back, let them gel and I think we all be pleasantly surprised.
Overall we all knew they were looking to "shock the world" on MNF with an improbable victory against a really good team. So are you really surprised they didn't? This is one of the youngest teams in the NFL, with a new offense so lets see what the young season has to come.
A Note From The Author: My mother always told me if you have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all. So the defense is purposely excluded from this post.
