The title of the above linked article is "Dolphins need the other denver QB....Tim Tebow", written by George Diaz. Now, you can read this article if you like. However i recommend that you don't. Its infuriating. So infuriating in fact that i tried to make an account on Sunsentinel.com just to tell Mr. Diaz what i thought of his article. However, in my blind fury, i had not the time nor patience to figure that crap out. I want to add a picture of Mr. Diaz but i cannot because im using a government computer in afghanistan. So without further ado, I'm going to vent it right to my brethren, my fellow phinsiders.
Dear Mr. Geogre Diaz,
Listen guy, Tebow to miami is the dumbest thing i've heard this offseason. Dumber than Brett Favre to Miami. You are only writing this COMPLETELY BASELESS crap to stir the sh*t for your own sake. If you want to make a name for yourself, why dont you try writing good articles that hold any amount of value to them.
Its reporters like you who try to break Henne's confidence and start the snowball effect of media hysteria surrounding our QB, which sadly trickles down to Dolphins fans and shakes their own confidence in their team. How about you write an article about why Henne can be our QB of the future. How about you mention the fact that he was 10-15 , 145 yards with 3 TD's in 11 on 11 scrimage the other day. How about you mention how he and Brandon Marshall are hashing things out and really starting to click. How about you give a sh*t about the hometeam instead of trying to drum up some completely fictional crap to get your name in the spotlight for 10 minutes.
Thats right Mr. Diaz, that's all you're going to get. 10 minutes. Maybe a mention on a larger media platform. I hope and pray that if they do decide to mention this fictional-out of left field-story, that they DO NOT mention your name. I hope enough people read my little ole' fanpost here on thephinsider.com, take a mental note of what your face looks like, and throw rotten tomatoes(for lack of a better idea) at you whenever they see you in public, Mr. George Diaz.

Do me a favor Mr. George Diaz, reach your hand into your pocket, if you feel two little lumps down there, i want you to squeeze and say to yourself, "George, stop being a worthless asshole. First of all, George Diaz writes for the Orlando Sentinel and his article was just picked up by the Sun Sentinel. Secondly, why not take a look?
Until the Phins settle on a franchise QB, nothing should be off the table. In the last 3 games for Denver last year, Tebow’s offense scored 23 or more points per game. Henne did that 5 times all last year. Tebow had a 4th Quarter comeback win in one of those 3 games (scoring 14 points to do it). Henne had one 4th Quarter comeback all last year. Tebow had more passing TD’s than INT’s in limited action. Did Henne have more TD’s than INT’s? Tebow accounted for 11 TD’s in limited action (5 passes, 6 rushes) with 4 TO’s (3 INT’s, 1 Fumble). Henne accounted for 15 TD’s in a full season (all passes) with 24 TO’s (19 INT’s, 5 Fumbles).
I don’t think Tebow is the answer, but he is worth taking a look at. Do you or anyone else know if Henne is the answer? I don’t. People keep talking about Henne’s scrimmage stats and how this is some sign that he has turned the page on his career. Do I need to remind people that this is a SCRIMMAGE? He doesn’t get hit in a scrimmage. He doesn’t have to worry about the rush or his WR’s getting laid out by DB’s or anything else that will happen in a GAME.
I hope Henne succeeds. I really do. But this FO wouldn’t be doing its job unless it explored other possibilities. And like it or not, Tebow is a possibility. Just because certain fans don’t like Tebow doesn’t change that fact. And blaming a writer for bringing up the possibility of getting a Florida legend is just foolish.

If the dolphins are going to explore Tebow, then let them go ahead and do it.
But they are not going to. I just dont see it happening. It just pisses me off that this has become a story because some not so successful sports writer drummed it and wants to stir the pot. I havent heard anything negative about henne in almost a week. Its been all good reports out of camp, from bystanders and teammates. This guy is kicking a dead horse. Sparano is going to sink or swim with henne. End of story.

Just based on the history of our FO and what they go for
i dont see it. We make lateral moves all day. OL depth, defensive additions, 3rd string QB carolina throw aways. I highly doubt we’ll be making a super high profile move like tebow or pryor.

Even with the “positive” showing by Henne during the scrimmage, I hear that the coaching staff is not happy with any of the QB’s in camp. If that is the case, there could be a move made in desperation next week.

i don’t hate the Gators, i’m just calling it like i see it…he is a phenominal athlete, just not NFL QB material. He’s a runner that plays qb, not the other way around..and it has been proven time and time again that those types of qbs either A) don’t last that long cuz of injuries or B) don’t last that long because they can’t read coverages and defenses will snuff u out on the run…

Because I am planning, either tonight or tomorrow, to send a lengthy e-mail to the Mike and Mike show on ESPN radio, for no other reason than to vent. Mike Greenberg has been making preposterous comments about the Dolphins and I need to let him know what a horses ass I think he is. We are team people love to hate. Maybe its the franchise living in the shadow of marino, maybe its just the fact that we’ve cycled through so many lame coaches and QB’s that it just seems unrealistic for us to have a positive outlook. As if we’ll never get back to being a good team. We all know what it takes. It takes winning. I dont even think one good season will make us respectable again, we’d have to show a pattern of success before we’d be recognized nationally as a good team.

The problem is that the Dolphins themselves are leaking things to different media figures off the record.
Word is it from a couple different national media types is that the coaching staff and front office are not happy with the play of any QB’s in camp right now. All of this is off the record of course, but it is still out there. And these media types don’t just make stuff up, like the Phins potentially contacting Brett Favre. That is coming from someone within the organization. Then when the organization doesn’t publicly denounce it, like Sparano didn’t when he was asked, it takes on a life of its own.
Brantner, you want to send an email to Mike and Mike about Greenburg’s comments concerning the Dolphins. Do you think that Mike Greenburg has ever had an original thought? Ever? I don’t think he has. All the information that he is getting is being fed to him by others at ESPN who have contacts within the Phins organization.
If the Phins organization really wants all of this to stop all they have to do is say “Chad Henne is our starting QB and gives this team the best chance to win. We are not looking for a replacement.” But they can’t say that because: 1) Part of the fan base would explode. 2) They are still actively looking for his replacement.

Back after the season ended last year, Ireland announced then that they would be looking to bring in “veteran competition” for Henne. This was not news. ANd it was never stated that they were looking for a “replacement”. SO of course they were interested in Orton, when they thought they could get him for a fourth rounder. THen Denver wanted more, and more importantly, Orton wanted a multi-year deal. The FO was never interested in garaunteeing Orton the position, so they backed off. Which, to me, was a vote of confidence to Henne. THey never did give up on him. But the national media loves ignoring facts and creating drama…

I've never once heard the FO was unhappy with him, just that everyone else is.
And if they really were they’d have made a bigger push for VY, Orton, Palmer, McNabb, someone else, or a player in the draft.

I've heard Mike Florio say it and Hub Arkush from ProFootballWeekly on Chicago Radio.
Orton used to be a Bear. So Chicago kind of keep tabs on him. They both at different times (plus they don’t like each other) have said that they have heard that Miami is not happy with the play of their QB’s in camp. That there is still a possibility of a trade after the 1st preseason game from both Miami’s and Denver’s perspective. Some personalities on ESPN have said similar things.
This is why I think the Preseason games for the Phins are so important and I wish there was some preparation for them. They need to figure out very soon if they can go into the season with Henne as their QB. From some reports that I have heard, the coaching staff and FO is not convinced he can be.

The quarterback play, but not Henne. There's a BIG difference.
I see no reason why they should be happy with what the other three QBs have done. Moore hasn’t impressed much, and I don’t blame them, and actually encourage them to go out and bring someone stouter in to be Henne’s backup.

Both Florio and Arkush said so. They both also said that if Orton is traded to Miami, he will be the starting QB.

No big deal
henne played really bad last year, when that happens people are going to talk, no big deal. If henne plays well this year all this will stop.
Anyone who wants to make predictions on how henne or the team will do based on one or two practices is diving into the deep end of the pool wearing a lead Elvis suite. henne has always shown flashes of being a good qb, and then gone on to throw a pic 10 yards from the goal line resulting in a D TD for the other team. Lets see how he does in the first couple of games, that should tell the story, and will let us know if we will be looking for a whole new crew next year, or be cheering on one of the best come backs in nfl history.
Pat Devlin is a better option then tebow.

He wants to dumb Tebow of to the Phins for a few reason
1) They know Tebow will never be a NFL QB
2) They know he was not worth the 1st round pick they spent
3) They will want a 2nd round pick for Tebow and the Phin have messed up in the past and gave 2nd round picks for a QB not worth it…note…this will no thappen again
Having a run first QB does not work in the NFL….and Tebow is this. Plus why spend all the picks Miami has on the OL just to have a QB run around? Henne is the man in Miami…it is his job to lose and he will not lose it. Henne will have a 30td..9int season and lead MIami to a playoff birth and take use deep into the playoffs. I believe in Henne and its best if all Phin fans do! Why you ask? Because he will be starting Monday NIght against the Pats and he needs to hear all the real fans yelling GO HENNE.

I don’t let shit like this piss me off. Unfortunately a lot of the media now days will do anything to stir the pot in order to get noticed. Hell there is one major outlet that seems to play the race card (in a negative manner) at ever turn just to get attention. That bothers me a lot more then some fuck-tard so called football writer that thinks we should chase Tebow. In the end any fan with half a clue should know that its not something that might even happen. Denver’s FO has figured out that hes not the guy to start but at the same time are not prepared to send him down the road as he might be the most popular player on the entire roster as far as their fans are concerned. I imagine that they will “try” and continue to develop Tebow till it becomes obvious that they are never going to turn him in to the next Elway or even Elway light.

I am NOT a Tebow fanboy. I hated [emphatic: HATED!] the way that Tebow was deified in the central Florida area. It ultimately hurt the gators and was the reason they fell short in achieving a repeat. However, I blame the fans for that and not the player. He has his faults and some of those are inherent while others are the result of, what I argue, are the shortcomings of Meyer as a coach who exploits his players strengths for his own glory rather that teaching them the game of football (this aside).
What I DO know about Tebow is that he is a “BALLER” and an intense human being with a rare desire and ambition to succeed. This alone can get you far in life as I am sure most of you would agree.
Weather or not it makes sense to consider the possibility that Tebow could ever become a Dolphin is certainly up for debate (as are Tebows abilities as an NFL QB).
But some of you have taken your arguments to a level that I suspect cannot be substantiated. I am speaking of comments like “Tebow will never be an NFL QB,” and/or “Tebow can’t throw or read Defenses.”
Watch the tape and you see signs that Tebow CAN read defenses and make NFL throws. Clearly he is a developmental player and maybe he shouldn’t have gone in the first round. But, to completely discredit anyone who thinks he would be a valuable addition to ANY football team (in whatever capacity) is just as egregious (or more so) as people (reporters and fans alike) posing hypothetical scenarios and considering Tebow’s potential in a Phins uniform.

Perhaps Tebow is not a good “practice” player. Those types of players are actually pretty common on professional sports. His poise and abilities are unmistakably effective in-game however.

I think this negativity surrounding Tebow has become just as unwarranted and unsubstantiated as the Tebw-is-God discourse during his college career. Its out of hand and may have no real-world referent.

just because Tebow now finds himself in the second on the depth chart also does NOT mean he isn’t good enough right now.
bottom line: many NFL coaches are NOT geniuses. BIG, MONUMENTAL mistakes are made everyday, every year, on every NFL roster!! Phins fans should have a grasp on this idea by now.
Also, Tebow has NEVER been tested mentally like this before (with so many doubters). It will be interesting to see how he responds tonight and in the rest of preseason.
