He was a tremendous runner who got better as games wore on. Ronnie is a monster, and when given a consistent workload, through both a game and a season, will be an elite running back.

Why Tony Sparano never realized this and took advantage of it is a mystery to me. Mark my words here and now:

Ronnie will have the best season of his career this year with the eagles.

Honestly

i hope im right. Ronnie deserves it and i will be as happy for him succeeding with the Eagles as i would have been with him doing the same with us. I’ll always be a huge Ronnie Brown fan.

but I hope he gets 8 carries for 7 yds vs. us :). Do good the rest of the games, just fumble a couple of times and throw a wildcat INT for us please

Agreed as well...

I too was always a HUGE Ronnie Brown fan, and still am. So I wish him nothing but the best…unless he’s playing against us, in which case, I WILL NOT be rooting for Ronnie. But other then that, go gettem’ Ronnie!

But you seen how blasted I got for my nice Ronnie post last season. He didnt have no freak injury & is probably in great shape this year. Anyway, glad to see your still around, have they stationed you anywhere new since the offseason began?

We never wasted Ronnie Brown. Ronnie Brown was a back that couldn’t stay healthey even when sharing the load with Ricky WIlliams.

Ronnie will have the best season of his career this year with the eagles.

You mean he will actually run for over a 1,000 yards for the 1st time in his career?! Awesome!

I like the guy, I think he is a cool person. But got to put personal feelings aside and look at his body of work.

Are you telling me that we used ronnie effectively?

In games like the one against the ravens, when ronnie was just warming up, and breaking off solid runs, and then suddenly he doesnt touch the ball one more time for the entire game after the 1st quarter, he was being used effectively?

Ok, I’ll match you that game with the game against NE when we unleashed the WC on them. He was used pretty dang effectively then.

he was, but maybe this just illustrates the whole point even better.

There was no flow or rhythm for him to get into. When the wildcat started to decline henning just keep running into it like a dog hitting a sliding glass window expecting it to open.

Gotta agree w/Medic on this....

B/C Tony Sporano and Henning refused to deviate from their “plan” of swapping Ronnie and Ricky every other series. Even if Ronnie was gashing “D’s” (and I found myself yelling @ my TV what seemed like every game…although I do that regardless) they would bring’em out for Ricky even if Ricky wasn’t being affective (and vise-versa). Or they’d throw the ball 3x in a row when it just wasn’t necessary…meaning times where we were ahead, or in the 1st quarter, ect. And they seemed to abandon the RUN @ times all together (again unnecessarily). (And I don’t mean when we’re down by 3 TD’s or being inaffective). But, i’m very optimistic for this year, and can’t wait to see Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush torching opposing “D’s.”

i dont think so

between vick, jackson, mccoy, and all those other weapons taking touches away from ronnie, i dont think it is possible for him to have the best season of his career

on top of that, he turns 30 this year…
