He never gained 1000 yards as a Dolphin RB. He seemed to be injury prone. But he was a class act. I had the opportunity to meet him a couple of times when he had a weekly radio show too.
Where he wasn't as talkative as my man Channing, I was able to spend a few minutes each time talking with him. Once was after he was already out for the season and being a therapist I asked about how he was healing and if he was doing any rehab yet. He very approachable and treated all the fans well. Another time he gave away a few sets of tickets to the last home game of the season. After he made that announcement on his radio show he walked by me and said " I got you". Sure enough, that next home game there was a pair of ticket at will call for me from Ronnie Brown.
But, the thing I will remember most about Ronnie has to be the 2008 season and the way the Wildcat owned the Patriots !!! Not to mention the whole worst to first thing. Which I believe was a combination of CP10's play in conjunction how well Ronnie ran the hell of that Wildcat. So for that i will always be thankful for what Ronnie did for this team and I wish him all the best ( just not against the Dolphins ). Good thing for me I had the foresight to get him to sign a mini helmet, a jersey, and these photos,.....makes for a some nice pieces for my mancave.
