Kevin Seifert (ESPN RumorCentral):

"[The renegotiated 2011 salary], on top of the previous knowledge that the Packers have already paid Grant a $1 million-plus roster bonus, makes it less likely from a financial perspective that the Packers will enter the season without him. There is nothing precluding them from doing so, but generally it's not good business to part ways with a player whose salary you've just guaranteed."

— The Packers are doing what they can to fit him onto their roster, but I still strongly believe that he can be had for good value. Considering that Green Bay lost Cullen Jenkins (one of the best 3-4 defensive ends in the NFL) to free agency, they would probably find the idea of acquiring someone like Philip Merling or Tony McDaniel to be an attractive proposition.
