SPEED !
Finally !!! What this team has needed for way too long under Parcells - SPEED.
Why did it take so long ?
The media made the BUSH trade sound like a mistake, but he is exactly what this team needs more than anything - speed out of the backfield, and Reggie Bush has looked tough running inside in his limited time so far. I just hope we use him more with the pass, and on screens, and to stretch the defense via 1st down RB "swing passes. this is where Bush will be a great weapon. Do not WASTE him trying to pound him up the middle on "sure" run downs. DaBoll's offense is MUCH BETTER than ole Dan Hennings... i think we all knew that he was hurting this team last year.
Henne has a lot more weapons with a healthy Marshall, Bush, and now Clyde running deep. Notice the safeties are playing further back each week, after seeing Clyde run by them. Hartline can get deep as well, and really help this team. We need Big Jake to get back quick, because the OLINE is still the problem area of this team. Now, I am not ready to anoint Henne as a "franchise QB" after 2 good quarters VS the worst team in the league last year, but he finally gave us a reason to believe that we have a chance in 2011.
More Speed on defense too - EDDS and Burnett the new inside LB's are going to be a big upgrade over Chrowder ! Notice how much quicker they both look. anyone notice how good JASON TAYLOR looked too ? He is going to be a big help this year in limited action.
Now - we just need a repeat performance vs Tampa ! Keep the offense going, quick passes and reads will keep Henne from making too many mistakes, and allow his confidence to grow... he is still the key to this team, and still has a tendency to throw bone headed picks ... but with all this added speed, he has a better chance.
GO DOLPHINS

Agree, Bush and Gates are a huge impact to this team even if they never touch the ball!!
The speed and the jail break play of Bush make the D have to respect them and not stack the box. This alone will give Henne more time to make his reads. Im kinda stoked for this year, and cant wait for next!! We are only one or two players maybe 3 away from being a great team!! We are going to be good very underrated, but we wont have that pleasure next year!!! 1 player to add is another stud lineman and maybe a FS. The third would be maybe a QB, but I hope we dont need one!!!!
Lets go Fins

i couldnt agree more henne has goos physical tools and having a quick pasing game with a quick offense will allow make his decision making process qicker and faster allowing him to just focus on playing football, specially with these 3 to five wide recivers sets we are showing. really belive henne is gonna have a breakout yr sincce we are finally building an ofense that focuses on his strengths and those of our offense, plus we added speed you cant defend that
Isn't it funny how guys with real speed play the game?
Remember when Hartline was the “speed” WR last year? Does anyone think that Hartline is “fast” anymore with Bush and Gates on the field? The difference is night and day.

Agree ct1361, Hartline is not fast or quick for a Wr. but he plays faster like a Welker or Cam, but in no way shape or form is 4.56 fast in the NFL!!!

there ya go LOU!!!
i read a lot here an try to learn i don,t say a whole lot but i value a lot of you commenters opinions! mosul,tex,rz,matty,b72 -n-lou! (are others too just can’t think of them at the moment)…but for awhile there lou you where gettin me down with the neg…stuff. but glad to see ya back to the glass half full stuff!!keep it up! GO-FINS!
Imagine what happens when we actually connect on that deep ball ...
They either back up more, or we put 6 points up every few plays.
Prove everyone that said you weren't a franchise QB wrong, Henne. "WE WANT HENNE!!" GO PHINS!! What can I say I am a homer, I have come to terms with that and accepted it. I predict 10-6 and a wildcard berth. Jets got worse this year when they lost Ellis to the Patriots. The Patriots are going to be more solid on defense this year than they have in the past.
I read this while at work so I couldn't (& shouldn't) post
I totally love the idea that Henne can fully practice the deep ball in Daboll’s offense.
Practice makes pensive defenses.
I will agree to disagree with you - as long as you understand that I'm right.
Lou I agree
I am coming around on the R. Bush signing because I cannot agree more that speed is badly needed on this team in general and on offense in particular.
I remember Ronnie Brown running 4.4 coming out of Auburn at 230 Lbs. It is somewhat disappointing to me that this regime never fully utilized his pass catching ability, something that he will be able to show off in Philadelphia.
Also agree the additions of Burnett, Odrick, JT & Edds to the already solid D might be exactly what they need to go from being a very solid Defense to one that makes BIG plays.
