we need to throw the kitchen sink at landry jones if we plan to draft a qb...tall, strong arm...extremely accurate, pro style offense, and the last sooner to play qb thats now in the nfl, bradford, had very similar numbers

dude the guy is 6'4 sophmore who threw for 4700 yards, 66 comp % 38 td and 12 Int

what is there not to be excited about…he dominated the ncaa…oh sam bradford’s sophmore year…

68comp % 4700 yards 50 td 8 int 9.8…they really aren’t too far apart considering they are built the same exact way

And I like the Roethlisberger comparison. It’s a tall order to be compared to a guy that is such a unique threat in the NFL. But if Foles can put on some bulk (Roethlisberger is listed about 10 pounds heavier for his frame) then he could be a force……

Foles is probably a second round QB pending this season but why would that bother us?

Landry Jones is the guy for us. I’ve been saying it for months now. Jones is why we didn’t draft any of the lesser QBs this year. All this “Suck for Luck” stuff is garbage but the reality is either Henne steps up and becomes a franchise QB, or we will be picking in the top 15 (again) and will get Jones to take over. This is the main reason I said we shouldn’t trade picks for Orton since we will potentially need the trade bait to move up to get Jones depending on where we pick and who picks ahead of us.
If we can’t get Jones, Foles would be a fine consolation prize but he needs to show he has turned from his checkdown tendencies or he would be little better than Henne was last year.

This is actually just the first of five QB bios I will do to highlight the passers available in 2012, so it's more or less just a "What if" write-up

Tex and I both love the idea of Landry Jones (check out our mock) in Miami, but I think he could go even higher than Luck, since Jones plays in a blitzkrieg offense, while Luck has the weight of the college world on his shoulder this season (and is missing key contributors from last season). That said, I will be throwing a ten-kegger party at my house if we move up and get Landry Jones.

And though Foles is a fringe first-round pick, Blaine Gabbert was a second-round pick up until early January, so there’s plenty of time for him to catch fire in Arizona’s air raid offense and put up some head-turning numbers. We’ll have a Ryan Lindley write-up posted sometime tonight (after I get home from work).

I like him...

but hes the 4th rated QB in next years class. Luck, Barkley, and Landry Jones are ahead of him. Id be really happy with any of them. Next years class is much better than this years was

they always do. All I’m saying is that at this point I would be happy with any of the 4 over Henne. On another note, one of the writers on fanhouse.com (dont remember who) said that the phins and redskins will be in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Thats BS, we are not one of the worst teams in the league…

what if henne, moore, or devlin end up being the evident answer between now and april?

his stats look good, but will it continue into this year. I guess we’ll see, and TCP , good to see ya again , haven’t seen ya in a few. we need your input , who else can pick on alpha and lil nicky better than you lol .
