RYAN MALLETT - had a pretty darn good game. Yes against the 2nd teamers... but how are we doing with Chad Henne in his 3rd year ? this was Malletts first real action and he looked better than Henne to me already... (biased yes) and ... YES - I am still mad we passed again on a great QB (Mallett) and he will certianly PORK us down the road one day when Brady hangs it up.
BLAINE GABBERTT looked the part also, and of course we were busy looking at CENTERS in the draft... BRADY QUINN - Looks way better already with a better team, We should look at him via trade if they are interested... ( I would have drafted him over Ginn)
RB Steve Ridley - 3 TD's
this is notable because NE didnt waste a high pick on a RB - they got huge value here and maybe this shows our "draft OL and RB's early" strategy was not so great...I think so really.RB's should be found later in the draft, I would have NEVER taken Thomas in the 2nd... but they Got both Mallett and Ridley in the later rounds...
I mention Edwards and Whitehurst - not because they are great QB's but because with limited work also they put up good numbers...WHAT WILL CHAD HENNE DO TONIGHT IN ATLANTA ?...
I am hoping for the best...BUT IT IS PAST TIME FOR HIM TO STEP UP...
Go dolphins...
