Am I the only one who finds Herm Edwards extremely annoying on ESPN? I have to turn the channel every time he comes on.

I know right
Its like his body is twitching and jerking, his mouth is moving, but isn’t really saying anything. Most of the talking heads have become like that, Herm just takes it to the extreme.
ESPN has become more of “whats gonna happen sports” instead of “whats happening now sports”. It got real bad with LeBron. He wasn’t a FA for 2 years, but after every game they were looking for any kind of body language or slip up in his speech to try to figure out where he was going instead of concentrating on what he did that game.
Now just because Jeter is hitting below his average and a injury, the Yanks need to get use to life “without the captain”.

The entire network is all about look at me. As to the Heat (and I know your a fan but still)
it seemed as if they were the official network of the Heat all year long. That’s not their job. Hell even when the Mavs won the stories were more about the Heat taking the loss. WTF???? I honestly don’t watch unless there is some game that I want to see there. Otherwise I go to the net for my news.

The Heat did get a lot of coverage from ESPN and everywhere for that matter
But hardly any of it was “good coverage”. They just covered the heat to they could bahs them, especially LeBron,

Yes but that was also after they gave him the platform that they did which a lot of
people claimed wreaked of impartial journalism. Its hard to argue.

Thats what the media wanted
They asked for 2 years where he was going. Why not give them this grand stage for which they begged him?

Really? You don't see an issue with that? I take great exception with it no matter
who it was.

It hadn't been done in the history of the NBA
It was for the city of Miami, and a great moment for the Heat franchise. They didn’t come out and say they were gonna to win the Title. What Lebron said jokingly about winning 7 championships was taken way out of context.
If New York or Boston would’ve done that it wouldn’t had gotten near the heat (no pun intended) that it got. It got it from everyone because the media hates Miami and all the other teams had their sites built up for 2-3 years on landing one of these coveted FA. It was really huge for one team to get all three. The city of Miami celebrated a big moment, whats the big deal about that?

I do not care who would have got flack for it and not what I was talking about in the first place.

Well please explain
because being a “Heat fan” do you think I enjoyed coverage of my team being bashed ever day and the loss of the NBA smeared in my face at the end of the year. I would’ve much rather had coverage of other teams rather than sh*t talked about my team all year. Not to mention, please cover the Mavs instead of extensive coverage of the Heat on why they lost.
And if The Dolphins got Peyton Manning, AP and Andre Johnson signed in one off season and celebrated somewhat like the Heat with ESPN covering them like they did the Heat I doubt I would get this response from you or many of the haters they basked int eh glory of every Heat lost this past season.

I would prefer my team not celebrate until they actually do something.
Even if it were my team I would see it as arrogant. I probably would have loved it when I was like 18-25 but now I see lots of things differently. Just my opinion. Its not that I am way anti Heat just do not get why anyone would do that is all. Low key is always better than potentially throwing out bad karma IMO.

The Jets go about just as arrogant
proclaiming SB wins year after year and saying they are the greatest and best. Where is their bashing? There isn’t any, just showing “confidence”. The media loves them. H*ll thats all we hear with from their coach and even with his foot fetish tapes don’t can’t 1/100th of the sh*t the Heat. Explain that to me.
The Heat don’t claim to be the next champions, nor going to the title game, they do something for their fans and suddenly they are Satan’s team. All season long they said and did the right things, unlike the team up north, and still got spit on.

it as a poor choice on their part. Thats all.

it as a poor choice on their part. Thats all.
And thats fine. I see what you are saying. But it wasn’t like they acted or talked that arrogant the entire season. But no matter what they said or how they acted all everyone heard from the media was about “decision” and that lil thing they did for the fans.
At some point you just gotta let that kind of stuff go. It wasn’t necessary to hear about it after every other game ALL YEAR LONG.

Yes but like it or not it only fed the fire that was already
going to be there. Their PR folks should have known better. As far as the players I don’t think its on them but that’s just how it goes when you represent an organization.

LOL Also don't get so bent. A lot of us could not give a shit about
the Heat one way or the other but our opinions are just that.

Guess I took your assumption wrong. I did not really follow the Heat this year as I could give a crap until we played them during the season and of course at the end.

Eh
At least the media has something else to bash like the NBA lockout and give the Heat a rest. Which is something I think we can both agree on.

I was thinking “you might be the only one watching ESPN”, but sadly that isn’t true.
"The first thing I do when I get out of bed and feel the jolt in my knees is think of Roy Winston. On the second step, my calcified Adam's apple starts bobbing, and I think of Carl Eller. A few more steps in the dark and it's Willie Lanier. By the time I get to the bathroom, I'm flashing back to Dick Butkus and Ray Nitschke. And when the light finally comes on, I just hope that somewhere in the darkness they're thinking of me, too" - Larry Csonka.

wow
i actually enjoy Herm

That is a shame other than the fact that you do not have to deal with Sanders.
