I have to say him being released has saddened me. But, if the FO has upgraded that position I am toady on board with it. After all it is a business and we are looking to build a championship caliber team here. And, if you're a LB on this team you must be able to defend the pass. Something it appears Channing couldn't do with any success.

But Channing was a great teammate by all accounts and cooler than cool when it came to the fans. I had the pleasure of chatting with him on several occasions for the better part of 15-20 minutes each time. He was funny, and totally down to Earth. We talked about fishing, working out, I told him about some of my antics on the ice rink, about his relationship with all-time Dolphin great Zac Thomas, and more stuff too. Like the 1st time the Wifey and showed up at his radio show and he said he had to do a double take on my Wifey saying she was a spitting image of Joey Porter's wife. Or the time after he intercepted Brady at the end of the game a couple of years ago. I told him DO NOT TURTLE !!! Run with that ball, find Brady, and put a cleat print on his ass !!!! He laughed and said, "coach wouldn't too happy if I did that, then fumbled the ball". My reply,...." screw that,...us fans want some carnage and your the man to deliver ! " And I personally didn't mind his mouth,....he did fire up his teammates and some of us fans as well. He is a good person and I'll miss him and I wish him well ( unless he's playing against the Dolphins ).
