When I came a cross this site in late 2010 I browse it a couple of times and move on without commenting. Some time went by and I came back. That’s when I read a sacrilegious post on the Dolphins moving to California! I went off on the writer . Was deleted. Post again bitching about the censorship.deleted. Have come down a bit, yet I"m very distrustful of it and some of the posts. I find it hard to accept that Henne should even be considered a part of this roster. After that embarrasing season we just witnessed.
Whats sad is, if Henne had been on another team, yourself and many other fans would probably be arguing to trade a 1st or a 2nd for him based on his career stats and less then 2 seasons as the starter.
Hennes not great, but hes not so horrible he should just be cut. Thats horrible thinking considering the lack of depth we now don’t have at qb.
This will be the year. Folks that think you can know if a qb is the man after just 2 seasons are crazy or high, maybe both.

I love Ricky and Ronnie and although financially it may make sense to not resign them, if you’re going to sign anyone it would be Ricky, who was probably the better RB last year, and you do it to a cheap short contract, even if he is 3rd on the depth chart.

I agree. Rickey has way better experiences as a rb with toughness and his obvious and surprising durability into no mans land for rb’s, the 30’s. I personally think he still has one more year in his legs as a starter somewhere. So i think he could easily split duties with Thomas.
Might make sense to sign Brown to a 2 year contract, so he can prove himself and maybe be traded after for a mid round pick.

I hope to see VY here. My take is, if he doesn’t win the starting qb job over Henne, and decides he doesn’t want to be part of the team and become a locker room cancer, cut him. Simple. Make his contract full of stipulations and benchmarks that kick in more money. Rather then a big fat guaranteed contract. Make it so he has to play so many games as the starter w/o trouble.

What do Ricky and Jason Taylor have in common? They were both part of a culture of mediocrity that our current FO is trying to change. They were both offered much to stay here, and were given plenty of opportunity to do so. They both used the media to create a wedge between fans/FO. That’s B*ll … he was just honest about the situation. He didn’t personally attack anyone, he gave an honest appraisal about what was failing, which confirmed just about everything that was patently obvious to anyone following the fins last year. Does anyone here actually disagree with what he said? Would we rather hear the same old meaningless platitudes to the media? Tony needn’t have a problem with this – he could just man up, talk to Ricky and get him onboard.
Ricky is a leader, he is a strong character and with what he went through can be a good example to anyone in that locker room losing themselves in stardom or going off the rails. Most of all he is yard for yard better than Ronnie at this point, as his YPC proves (4.2 vs 3.7 last season), and I’m speaking as a Ronnie fan who owns a no.23 jersey. Ricky can still knock em over, and could be the cheaper and more reliable option of the two veterans.
I know it doesn’t work this way, but as fans we owe him after that one man offensive gameplan that was 2002/3 – those 800 carries at a brick wall effectively killed the man’s spirit. esp 2003 – 392 @ 3.5 … sheesh! Thanks Wanny.

Ricky Williams quit on this franchise once before..came back, played well and then once again turned his back on his coaching staff. Weather it’s his honest opinion or not doesn’t matter…he said he couldn’t play for Tony Sparano and now he said he wants to….34-year-old, past his prime flake…Sorry but your guy Ronnie is a much better option and what’s more deserves to stick around because of his LOYALTY to the team and the coaching staff.
