So what do we as an organization do at QB. The FO has said they are bringing in competition for Henne. It is obvious that Henne has the arm but does not seem to have the "it" factor that makes a winning QB.
I don't want Marc Bulger, his days as a starter are over. I don't want Matt Hassellbeck, who knows what hes got left in the tank. I don't wanna trade picks for Kevin Kolb, in my eyes hes unproven and injury prone. I don't want Carson Palmer, he seems like another Daunte Culpepper who got injured and was never the same. I don't want Donovan McNabb, he looked flat out old last year. I don't know much abvout Matt Flynn, to me he is kind of like Kolb, he has a very limited sample size of games to evaluate. These are our options at QB this year. Then there is a Wildcard. A QB that could be acquired for next to nothing. A young, agile, strong armed, Pro Bowl QB who has worn out his welcome in his current city. I am of course talking about Vince Young. The man won 64% (30-17) of his games in Tennessee. He was a Pro Bowl selection for the 2006 and 2009 seasons. Last year before he got hurt he was 5-5 with a QB of 98.6. In terms of leadership he's no Johnny Unitas but the man wins games.
I don't know if it is right move or not. I have seen people throw this option out but I wanted to see what the fans on this site think about VY. I am neither in favor of nor oppossed to the idea. But I think its possible and it sure would make for an interesting season.
