This offseason is boring me to tears. I live in the Netherlands, so with the time change I wake up every morning eager to see what is new with my dolphins and all i see is more news about the lockout. Lockout news and articles about which team has the best helmets is all I have to read these days. So i figured as a way to try and keep my sanity, I would make a post forming some kind of consensus on our depth chart at this point in the offseason!

The quarterback and runningback positions as it stands on our current roster are units that will be in heavy reconstruction during free agency, so I will leave those two positions alone.

The competition at the wide reciever spot is possibly the most interesting to keep our eyes on. The competition will be primarily between Ed Gates and Brian Hartline. My hope is the Gates becomes just like Johnny Knox from the Bears and provide a huge spark for the Dolphins thus beating out Brian Hartline for the 3rd receiver spot. I believe Brian Hartline will be THE best 4th string Wideout in the entire NFL and with pressure from Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace, We will see a huge improvement in our wide receivers in the upcoming year

The interior offensive line got a huge face lift in the first round of this years draft. The selection of Mike Pouncey (while disliked by some) will provide us with an elite player at either the center or guard position. For this season, i do believe Pouncey will get his snapping under control and I know from watching him in college that he can handle himself just fine against the monster nosetackles in the AFC east. The guard position is where things will be switched numerous times throughout training camp with perhaps a few bodies being added through free agency. Of the players on our roster right now I have to believe that the versatile and young Nate Gardner comes back strong from his injury last season and beats out John Jerry for the Right Guard position with my main man Richie Incognito manning the Left Guard spot.
