Is Channing the Man?

His entertainment value can't be denied. He speaks his mind OFTEN and is in some ways a spokesman for the team. Just think of the memories over the last few years:

  • The "I couldn't find London on a map" comment (2007)

  • The Matt Light catfight (2008)

  • The Rex Ryan callout (2009)

  • The Le'Ron McClain Spitgate fiasco (2010)

Because of clownishness and injuries over the last 2 years, I forget that as recently as 2008 he was a solid linebacker. He had 113 tackles in 2008 and 104 in 2006. Last year, a whopping 39.

I like Crowder's style. Frankly, I think he speaks what he believes to be the truth when others don't. He talks the talk as well apreviews anyone (with the exception of Wes Welker's 'foot-soldier' interview during the playoffs last year. I hate the Pats but that *ish was funny.) Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to walk the walk.

He seems to be in decline. He has been injury prone. He gives opponent fodder for their bulletin board.

Now to the point: I would love to see Crowder return to form and flourish as a starter in Miami for another 5-7 years. IF he can play at the same level he did in 2008. Why? He entertains me...in the same way that professional wrestling does. He knows how to create a spectacle.

So what do you think of Mr. Crowder? Hope he's All-Pro? Hope he gets replaced by AJ Edds? Hope he gets traded to the NJ Jets?

And while you're here... Let us know what your favorite Crowder memory is.

Mine was Spitgate. McClain looked like a punk-@$$.
