Jeff Ireland speaks with Brandon Marshall

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland was finally able to talk with wide receiver Brandon Marshall since Marshall was stabbed by his wife last week.

"Yeah I know enough of the details right now," Ireland said in remarks distributed by the team Thursday night. "I did talk to Brandon today. I just reached out to him because I was able to, and we’re going to probably talk tomorrow a little bit, but right now I know enough to be dangerous I guess you could say. We’re going to continue to follow that situation, but until I get a chance to really sit down and talk to him face to face I’m not going to jump to any conclusions."

but right now I know enough to be dangerous I guess you could say.

That part scares me. What exactly is Ireland implying? That he has the ammo to get rid of Marshall? I certainly hope not.

But keep in mind that even if the Dolphins do nothing if Marshall was at fault, the league could come down on him. And with as many strikes as Marshall has, it would mean a year suspension.
