In order for this front office to salvage the 2011 draft is for them to trade up to the second round and get a playmaker or remaining QB's. Our front office needs to grow some balls and roll the dice and stop playing it safe. IMO safe picks are only going to make us an average team at best. We been picking safe the past couple years and guess where we are today. If this safe picking continues, then in the 2012 draft we will picking in the 14-20th range again.
Perhaps our front office can package next year's second rounder along with this years 5th round in exchange for a second round pick this year. I really hope we get a playmaker (T. Young, WR) or we draft either Mallet or Kaepernick (insurance policy for Henne).
And lastly on the 3rd round we draft DJ Williams, TE.
Next three picks
2nd round: T. Young or Mallet or Kaepernick
3rd round: DJ Williams or Best Available WR depending on 2nd round pick
4th tound: Best Available RB or TE depending on 3rd round pick
