Why not Ryan Mallet?

The Miami Dolphins need a franchise QB. I like the Jake Long pick in 2008, why draft a QB to only see him get smacked around? I also like the 2009 pick, Vontae Davis. Looking at the 2010 pick, did they really need another DE? Maybe so, for more depth to move Starks to NT.

Looking at what's happened in the past and some dialogue, the Dolphins will probably trade down from the 15th spot to regain a 2nd round pick. They'll end up with a pick in the late 1st round.

Is not Ryan Mallet a late 1st round/early 2nd round QB? I've seen this guy play, he's a real playmaker. He's got the size, the arm, though of course he has flaws.

I am confident that if the Dolphins give Ryan Mallet a chance, he'll add the needed fire to the Dolphins' offense. He has someone to throw to (Marshall, Bess, Hartline), and a LT and RT to protect him. However, there's one thing I'm not sure about and that's the new OC. How would he use Mallet and would that set him up for success? It's the same case for any QB the Fins draft.

If the Dolphins pick Ryan Mallet, I'll jump for joy.
