Bush impressed some of his teammates from the first days of training camp. When the two-hour sessions in the heat and humidity of early August were over, most veterans trudged off to the locker room. Bush would head back out for extra sprints, ball drills, anything to get an edge.
"When he first got here he'd do it by himself," rookie tight end Charles Clay said, "and as time went on he'd bring guys with him. He'd be, 'Hey, come on over, get some extra work in.' It just trickles down, has an effect on everyone."
