Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Trolling again. This bout sums up what I've been trying to say bout some crazy people on here saying give Sparano another year.

Good article by Armando. This doesn't happen very often.

They rallied around their coach you say? More like they rallied around thmeselves dispite Sprano and the coaches.

And they are not alone. Players themselves see their roster as quite talented and capable of doing more damage than it has done.

"We’re very talented. Very talented. We’re so talented it’s scary," linebacker Karlos Dansby said.

"The feeling internally," added linebacker Cameron Wake, "is that since the first snap of camp we had the tools to be, not a good team, but a great team."

That’s bad news for coach Tony Sparano and some of his assistants because it means they will be the fall guys for not getting what is believed to be a talented roster playing at a high level for an entire season.

Haha,

well, that guys an idiot!!! He obviously doesn’t know football or hasn’t ever watched a game, especially the Miami Dolphins! :) I don’t know what to say about the situation, I’m just glad I don’t have to make the decision and my actions as a fan won’t sway the decision one way or another. I’m just gonna go along for the ride and hope for the best :) Go Phins!

You are so right. He has only been a sports reporter for the Miami Herald for 45 years. (which I would bet is longer than you have been alive)

Which if I count correctly is exactly how long the Phins have existed! He has covered every single SB. That is ALL of them.

Just think how stupid the average Jest fan is, and then realize that half of them are even stupider! ( a parody of a George Carlin line)

haha, i know,

I love Edwin Pope, i read him every time he writes about the Dolphins, and I think it’s great that they named the press box after him.

Umm, yea that basically sums it up

I’m like most people on here. I’m bias when someone does a article in which I agree with.-)

haha i know,

I just thought it was funny that you said he doesn’t write good articles very often, but this one is great because he agrees with you. Just shows that Armando takes opposite views whenever it will benefit him most (more hits) which a good writer should do, i guess.

Well what I meant is
Just shows that Armando takes opposite views whenever it will benefit him most (more hits) which a good writer should do

Sometimes he is just so far in left filed it is ridiculous. Its not even worth the time, but this one is actually pretty good.

you know i dont actually think thats the case this time

i was pretty much undecided on how i felt about the team before reading that article. I must admit i was fairly impressed by it

Unlike some, I think Armando is right more often than not. He hits this one out of the park. This should be mandatory reading.

I’ve been saying it all year. The Phins are talented enough to win now with the right coaching and good QB play.

This team, with its current roster, is going to be real inviting to the next coach. Hopefully, this organization with a new coach will be able to draft that QB in the 1st round.

Thats what I've been saying

There was NO WAY we should’ve lost 7 in a row with this talent.

The talent is there. The coaching, especially on offense, isn't.

What has been the most disappointing to me over the last 3 years is that the coaching staff, IMO, has cost the Phins 2 or 3 games a year with bad game management. I also don’t think it has gotten any better this year.

For example at the end of the half against Oakland. The Phins take over on their own 9 with 1:13. They run 2 plays, gain 6 yards, and Oakland calls a TO after each play. On third down, with 1:02 left, the Phins complete a pass to the 23 yard line to get a 1st down. The Phins run one more play and the half ends. Once a good team gets that 1st down, with 50+ seconds left and a couple of TO’s, don’t they try to get into FG range? Why don’t the Phins try? GB or NE would sure as shit try to score again. Why not the Phins?

Yep its on coaching

If this team has a real QB and a real HC we are playoff bound.
It is embarassing how poorly prepared we were to start this season.

wow that was actually a very well written and well thought out article

i must say that i think the team has the talent, and for the first time in my life i am impressed by Armando

by insainsiren on Dec 5, 2011 7:13 PM EST reply actions

Thats what I thought.

But I tend to pay more attention when he is writing something I agree with. Most times I can’t stomach what he is writing because it seems he is just throwing words down just trying to cause a argument. But this time he actually seemed to think it all out 1st.

Only way Tony saves his job IMO

is to win the next 4 games, which would be telling against the Eagles, Bills, Pats, and Jets, who are a lot better than the previous 4 or 5 we just had. If the team can be prepared enough to beat the Pats and the Jets, two teams in the playoffs or fighting for it, then he stays because Ross will be very pleased. Plus it would be a one game improvement over last season.

If he doesn’t, which I think is more realistic, I think he gets fired and we bring in either Fisher, Reid, or Cowher (unlikely). Norv Turner wouldn’t be a bad option for the OC spot, either. I also like Barkley and then Griffin, who I like but just don’t know if he can stay healthy with his frame.

i follow all dolphin writers

except armando. He doesn’t know what he is talking about. I mean Moore completes a beautiful pass to someone and he finds a fault when clearly its not. He is so negative on this team to the point where I feel he shoild go write for the jets or something. I like staying positive on my team and teams dont win games staying negative, they do it staying positive

Sparano is not the reason Dolphins were losing

The Dolphins problem has always been the play of the Qb. Dolphins has never had a Qb playing this good since I can remember (I am only 21). If you want to keep your job as a head coach in this league get you a good Qb. Look at the top 10 Qbs in the league and tell me how many of them ever had their head coach.

Wish we could sim this season
