What a trip,....literally. Ft. Myers is just a short 2 hour drive to the Miami area, and one I've made many times. But on this trip I had one of my oldest & closest friends ( & Son ) with us. Fasty, I've known since we were 5 years old, and he makes his home in Tampa. Sadly, he is a diehard Raiders fan.
The Wifey was up to her usual tricks on the drive across the State,....and so was I !
Fasty, got to meet Mini OFF4L as he was telling him he could see into the future.
Being a former collegiate wrestler, M.O. was quickly thrown into a headlock and made to say "uncle".
We went down to Ft Lauderdale Beach to get dinner and see the sights. It just so happened there was a special parking spot for us. All right !!!!
After dinner I had to satisfy my sweet tooth. I can thank my Wifey for this beauty,...
You ever watch Tommy Boy ? " Fat guy in a little coat, fat guy in a little coat".
Later that night we headed out to the Hard Rock complex. There,...M.M. doing his thing. getting after those bOObs !
GAME DAY
Ohioan by birth, DolFan by choice,....with some stragglers.
Every week I paint my knuckles. This Sunday the choice was obvious,....MAD ! DOG !
Our tailgates,....they are fun. M.M. you know he loves this,...
The "green lizards" were flowing,...Ready ! Set ! Go !
My fun at the tailgate was cut short as I had to check in for the on field experience.
I still don't know how to take it when one of these hotties says, "I love your make-up".
( I'm going on a diet, the camera doesn't lie. Geez,.....I'm a f'n hog )
I got some great shots of the players warming up.
A couple of former Buckeyes,....Hartline & Pryor.
Some of you guys know his name. I just wanted him to know that BuckeyeNation is strong !
D. Bess
You can bet your ass I screamed out,...."HEY,...MY IQ IS 1 !!!". He didn't even look my way, but better believe he could hear me.
Raiders fans ain't got nothing on me,...
Finally, it was time to take our spot on the field. When they called us out there, I high stepped all the way to my spot on the 30 yard line.
I'm on the top of the 2nd "C",...on the 30. The one closest to the endzone,...
The DCC raised over 1 million dollars ! And when they played the DCC music video to U2's "Where The Streets Have No Names" I just started jumping around. I was in my own little world doing kind of a jumping jacks, side kicks, spinning jumps. Everybody was just standing there,...not me though. I noticed my backside on the big screen a few times during it, then I quickly jumped around, shooting the "knuckles" out there ! It was awesome !
THE GAME PICS
Reggie Bush,....untouched !
Take a look a Jake Long,....classic.
Matt Moore,....not too shabby !
THE ALUMNI ( & M.M.)
There were several Dolphins alumni in the house, and most of them past right underneath us. Many of them want our pictures,....too cool !
I know some of them, and they know M.M.
"Kooch" flashing the hardware !!!!
I had no idea that they were also going to honor the Dolphins "unsung hero" during halftime as well.
Moments later I learned he was our "unsung hero" !!!
Some of our own was also part of the halftime ceremony,...with M.M.
I don't have any pics of Mad Dog's Ring of Honor ceremony because I filmed it. And,...I haven't made the leap to uploading videos yet as it takes a long ass time just uploading pictures. So,...it up youtube and link it here please. Thanks ! It was a moving speech given by both Don Shula and Michael Mandich before unveiling his name in the stadium.
I'm tired, totally spent. But I will leave you with a couple more shots.
I'm sure I'll get more photos off others via Facebook. If any good ones arise, I'll put those up too. Until next time,....GO DOLPHINS !!!!
