Need Fantasy Football Advice?

One of my favorite weekly posts, Start 'em and Sit 'em, does not appear to be going up this week. If anybody is having trouble deciding whom to start in this very important playoff week, I'll be more than happy to answer your questions. I'll be at work for another 3 hours (by work I mean monitoring The Phinsider) and then I'll check this again in the morning a couple hours before game time to help y'all out.

Charles Clay at RB?

PPR league.

Injuries have hit my RB pretty badly..so as of right now I’m starting Jackie Battle, who is getting about 10 carries a game. I think the resurgence of the Chiefs offense with Orton at QB will give Battle some goal line opportunities; however, I would like a better option.

Last I heard Fasano might not play this week..giving more opportunities for Clay in the passing game I would think..this seems like a very pass heavy game in the 2nd half, and while Clay has no value running the ball, he could have a sneaky good game catching the ball.

I’m not looking for a monster game from either…would be happy with 10-12 points.

Thoughts? Thanks.

I was considering Charles Clay as a sleeper at TE until I looked him up a couple days

ago and saw the RB tag. It’s not the worst idea in the world, but I have to ask you who the top FA RBs are in your league? If Kahlil Bell is available, you pick that SOB up. Ryan Torrain would probably be a good 2nd choice as well, since Helu is iffy. I’d monitor Helu’s status before the game tomorrow, and if he is still listed as questionable, I’d put Torrain in over Clay.

Kahlil Bell goes in over either, if he’s available.

Thanks for taking the time

Bell, Torain, and Gerhart are all owned. It’s a 16 team league..so not a lot of free agent options. Choice, Redman, and Lumpkin look to be the best options left..but I’m pretty confident in Clay or Battle over either of those.

I’m leaning towards Battle…better chance of finding the end zone IMO..especially if the Dolphins are planning on lining up Mastrud in the TE position over Clay.

Ahh see I thought you said you were starting battle and you needed a 2nd runningback.

I’d go with Battle over Clay too because of goal line duties. The Chiefs are going to put up points on Oakland, that’s a given. Clay may find the end zone, and I have this weird feeling he will, but I’d rather go with the numbers over straight up intuition.

Going with Royster

Picked him up this morning. We’ll see how it goes..I wouldn’t be surprised though if both Battle and Clay have decent games..but Royster is getting the start for me.

Good call.

Washington needs to run the ball a lot to help Grossman out. That’s your best play.

Toby Gerhart

will probably have more targets than Clay as well after he tore it up last week.

What is your other option?

Miami's Superstars: Reggie Bush, Brandon Marshall, Jake Long, Karlos Dansby, Cameron Wake, Vontae Davis and Sean Smith (just wait), Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Mike Stanton, Gaby Sanchez, and Hanley Ramirez. :)

Start Cam.

He will probably be the highest scoring QB this week.

Moore is starting over Ben, fer sure.

Is it Marshall over Nate Washington or Laurent Robinson? I’m sick of propaganda injury reports!

The kicker (pun intended) is Banks (Wash) playing Minnehaha. The dude can rack points.

I never got a prize for doing what was expected of me.

Definitely start Marshall.

He has been a beast. Who else are you starting over Laurent?

You ma call me the most boring person alive or something Joel

but I really can’t stand Fantasy Football. My favorite thing about Fantasy Football is the NFL Playoff challenge commercial on NFL Network to Daniel Powters song “Ya had a bad day.” You know that ad?

I loooooove fantasy football.

It combines competition and gambling.

There was a time when I could only get into Dolphins games. I made a conscious decision to play fantasy football just so I could watch more meaningful football (Dolphins were 1-15!), and it worked out just like I had hoped. I have an avid fascination with the entire league now.
