The Baltimore Ravens travel to San Diego to face the Chargers tonight on Sunday Night Football. The two teams are both looking to position themselves for the playoffs, with the Ravens fighting for the top overall seed in the AFC, while the Chargers are trying to make their customary late season rally and slide into the playoffs.
This should be a really entertaining game, and actually one of the few prime time games recently that deserves the positioning.

I’d rather he fire Ireland, and consult with Carl Peterson on the GM and Coach search ONLY. I want Peterson nowhere near the personnel, but he’s a guy who can identify good coaching candidates.
and if we want a big name like Ross suggests, I think we gotta dump Ireland because do you really think Cowher, Billick, or Fisher want to work under Ireland?

Yeah I totally agree...
But unfortunately I believe Ross when he said he’ll keep him.. I have no idea why he’d commit to such a thing right now.. He should interview everyone himself, and weigh out the options from there.. I want a big name coach as well. Hopefully he’ll surprise us and perhaps Cowher or someone will give Ross an offer he can’t refuse (not The Godfather type lol) and perhaps Ireland will indeed be gone.

Yeah i knew we were screwed after the Houston loss in week 2
I was so damn sick of hearing the “We lost to 2 good teams” arguement… We need to BEAT those teams.. Gosh if we were East Jabumfuck State against LSU, then sure it would be nice to be “competitive” in those games.. But those 2 losses were to AFC playoff teams… Right away we were fucked on the tie breakers. So since then I knew we had to get worse before we got better..

he has one quality WR.. he’s making Demaryius Thomas look like a player. They are not a terrible team, but Orton couldn’t beat anyone with them. Tebow is a leader, but he also performs when it counts.

These prime time games this week have been horrifying
Falcons killed Jags, Cowboys slaughtered the Bucs, Ravens don’t show up at SD. Hopefully the Steelers/9ers game will help out. Who knows, if today is any indication (which i don’t think it is) perhaps Texans/Colts thursday night could be close

it’s a start, but that team has missed on first rounders and neglected key positions and they are still in the playoff race.. meanwhile, we do all the right things (according to some fans) and build up the trenches (where football was won in the 40’s) and can’t finish over 500
