Pathetic

The Dolphins are just that...pathetic.  Let's break down the issues:

1- Top 5 defense?

Yeah right.  In YPG allowed by defenses, the Dolphins are ranked 23.

2- Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, Kevin Burnett, Karlos Dansby, Rashad Jones and the rest of the pass defenders were supposed to improve our defense -- especially against tight ends.

No way.  Our pass defense is ranked 27.

3- Brandon Marshall, Hartline, Bess, and Henne were going to turn it around.

We fell flat and stand ranked 25 in passing yards per game.

4- The silver lining will be our pro-bowl kicker, Dan Carpenter?

The Dolphins are ranked 19 for field goal percentage.

Pathetic season.  Andrew Luck can only fix one of those things, maybe.  We need a leader on defense and trade brandon marshall for  a solid cornerback or safety.

I don't get trading Marshall;

His value is at it’s lowest, and while he’s had some really frustrating drops that change the game, he’s our only good receiver right now. I thought Bess would be a good security blanket and he’s dropped alot of passes. Hartline is best fit for a 3rd or even 4th option receiver. Do you want Bess and hartline as our 1 and 2? That’s barely better than Ginn and Camarillo. And if we do draft Andrew Luck, we would be setting him up to fail because we’ll throw him in to start as a rookie with a bad OL, and no receiving threats at all.

He will still have dropped passes,

But Luck could get the ball to him more consistently which will improve his numbers.

The O line will get better when we have a QB who can read the open target...

and get the ball out quickly. Even with our poor RT blocking we are getting enough time to hit targets, just the QBs is not getting it done!

Agreed

The oline needs work but a poor QB makes it look worse.

you SUCK FOR LUCK. Not afterwards

First of all I am not aware of very many teams with #1 picks in NFL which are one player away from the Super Bowl. That being said Indy is worse than the Phins and they are one player Peyton Manning(Andrew Luck) from the Super Bowl.!!!

End of Discussion

We are not a team that has 0-7 talent but a team that has an 0-7 FO and coaching

staff. A new chain of command with a new philosophy in addition to a draft where we be positioned at the top or near(with all our picks intact) will put us in reload mode instead of the rebuilding some think. We at least can dump or cut our payroll tremendously with the expiring contracts and 1 year signings which opens the door for a banging FA shopping spree. Skys the limit in 2012!!!

Damn the sheriff, Bring on MARSHALL LAW

If & i repeat If, we just get our mental game down. In place & everybody on the same page, we could be a 500 team this year!

gotta keep marshall.

trade marshall and leave a guy like andrew luck, jones or barkley with hartline, fasano and bess? you have got to be kidding me.

they need to draft 1 of these QBs and then get him another weapon other then marshall and in my opinion that weapon should be a top tier tight end.

hard to say what to do about running back because thomas cant stay healthy but has looked good when he is on the field.

we should draft all offense for sure though because our offense is “PATHETIC”

desperate for a deep threat. marshall and bess are great guys to move the chains but we have no deep threat what so ever.

basically we need better players at every position haha…
