2012 Dolphins Have No 4th Round Pick

I wonder if Dolphins fans are aware that Miami doesn't have a 2012 fourth round selection. The 4th round pick was traded to New Orleans for Reggie Bush. Unless Miami makes a trade to either Cleveland or San Francisco, who both have two 4th round selections. They could trade Sean Smith to the 49ers or Brian Hartline to Cleveland. Why do that? Well, Sean Smith is really a free safety and is struggling to cover...basically nobody. Miami is trying to develop Clyde Gates and Marlon Moore so you could move hartine to Cleveland. The Browns need a speed receiver and plus Hartline is from Ohio and attended Ohio St.

If your not NE or Balt. you dont get good compensatory picks

With the 15th pick, the Miami Dolphins select John Stamos....'s brother

Ive seen free safeties and Sean Smith is no free safey

Hes a good cover corner who is still developing. Needs to learn to play the ball.
Wouldnt trade him.
Hartline’s value is low cuz were not a passing offense. Wouldnt trade him for anything less than a 2nd.

Agree Hartline is better than his numbers show this year...

For some reason the guy has had some horrible passes thrown his way. Our QBs seem to think he’s 9 feet tall this year. I don’t know if we would get a 2nd for him though, I mean I agree it would feel like an OK trade for us but realistically he’s probably more of a 3rd round guy at the moment.

Oh the horror!

Miami's Superstars: Reggie Bush, Brandon Marshall, Jake Long, Karlos Dansby, Cameron Wake, Vontae Davis and Sean Smith (just wait), Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Mike Stanton, Gaby Sanchez, and Hanley Ramirez. :)

It was a conditional pick not even expected to be a 4th. The terms haven't been released, but it's believed to be a 5th rounder.

Trade Hartline yesterday.

This is a guy who Sparano is blindly in love with and is taking up space. You need size and speed on the field at WR. Hartline is too small. Hartline is supposed to be fast yet his speed never shows up on the field.
Hartline has done very little for the Dolphins and is blocking the development of younger players with bigger upside like Gates and Moore.

hartline is one of the most consistent player on our team

How is it his fault Moore overthrows him every time. Henne had good rapport with him, Moore prefers Marshall a little too much. If we spread the ball around more, he would be able to showcase his abilities better.

Consistently mediocre just like Sparano.

If Hartline gets traded, I hope the team that trades for him feels the way you do about his play.
