ESPNs Adam Schefter stated that Dolphins have worked out Trent Edwards and Brodie Croyle and will most likely go with neither. They had talks with Jake Delhomme, but he does not want to come in on this type of situation. David Garrard was willing to play for 1.5 million but Ross was offended for asking for so much. He was also the only obstacle in Ortons contract of 3yr 28million. The question is, Does Ross want his team to suck for life? Hes going to have to give someone top dollar if he wants success(Reggie Bush excluded). Certainly i hope he wont go as far as starting the atrocious Matt Moore. If Ross is gonna be cheap, might as well "Suck For Luck"

Whoa!

I don’t think that Ross was far off with the Orton trade, does that guy right now in Denver look like a long-term franchise changing solution at QB? Because that is how he wanted to be paid! As far as the Garrard situation, he would be a back-up so paying a back-up QB 1.5 million for 3/4 a season of work, where that back-up would need at least 2-3 weeks before being ready to contribute, is a little steep.

Orton here we would be no better, still the same coaches claying the same lame plays.

Garrard wanted his entire deal to be guaranteed

Which the Dolphins weren’t willing to do, in case Henne can play, or something else falls in their lap. They want to be able to cut the emergency pickup QB, who won’t be the starter no matter what, because it’s Matt Moore’s team if Henne can’t go.

We are gonna stick with Moore

Screw the season. Ross is looking to wipe the slate clean and move on. He was wanting to do that last year anyways.
