Get Gruden or Cowher, draft Luck and put these dark days behind us.

I’m not on board. I think if there is a will there is a way and records are meant to be broken. It’s week 5. It aint over yet.

As of now, I’m on the Luck train. We keep playing like this we deserve to draft him.

If we don’t draft Luck, I’ve kind of taken a liking to Jones too.

It’s week 5 and anything can happen. Maybe Moore will rally this team around him and win ten games. Or maybe we only win three games. We’ll just have to watch and see…

I can’t bring myself to root against Miami. I still want them to win. A complete embarrassment of an 0-16 schedule would suck. It’d be worse than 2007.

On the flip side, I can bring myself to root for Miami… and root for Minnesota, STL, Carolina, Indy, and the other 1-3 teams. That way if Miami starts to turn it around, it is a huge plus. If they don’t, well… we’re staying the course.

Every player that isn’t playing with heart and doesn’t wanna be here. See ya. You can’t cover or catch a INT, F- you. Can’t block? F- you too. What you can’t tackle or make a simple catch? Follow all the @ss wipes we gave good money to over the past couple years who all of a sudden forgot how to win a game. Don’t stop with just Sparano or Ireland. Get rid of every player who quit on my beloved franchise and its beloved fans.

Well that ought to narrow it down a bit. Hey defense, F-K you! F-K you! Double F-K you!! Hey offense, F-K you! F-K you! Double F-K you!! You’re cool (Looking at Long and Pouncey), and F-K you!!!
So after JT retires we are going to be left with Cam Wake, Jake Long, Daniel Thomas, Vontae Davis, Clay, Gates, Jimmy Wilson, Pouncey, Slaton, Hilliard, Starks, and assorted average players and backups that haven’t gotten a chance to F-K up yet. Just a few holes to fill then. Whew, that’s a relief. Here I thought damn near our whole team was worthless. Wait, aw hell!!

If the team is bad enough to lose and be in position to draft Luck so be it. But I just simply cannot think of a team tanking a season knowing their jobs will be in jeopardy.

I want the team to give the best of themselves if that lead the team to draft Luck so be it… if not I’m not gonna be whining because we got no Luck.

And see how bad it can get. In fact, I would like to volunteer to play right tackle for the remainder of the season.. For free. Just throw me some pads. Used pads, for all I care. In fact, let’s construct a team consisting of only Phinsider members. Just for shits…..

I want them to sweep the jets and lose the rest I’m sick of 7-9, I’ll throw up if we have get a couple of meaningless wins that hurt our draft status.

I agree on getting us a QB. Luck if possible, I’d go with Landry Jones too. I don’t agree on totally caving-in. If the team wins 4-5, good enough. I surely don’t wish for a 0 or 1 or 2 win season. If we’re in the forefront of the sweepstakes, which could happen, then yes, don’t make it a point to win, experiment with players. A 2nd preseason if you will. But, when draft time comes and we pick from 2-10, mortgage the house baby! I’m tired of our FO being draft pansies…If it doesn’t pan out, then at least we tried. Trying is the first step in getting anything done!

its high time people wake up and realize that tanking (not on purpose) is the BEST thing for the long term health of this franchise

Examine this idea, just for a moment. First, I totally agree with you about Luck. He’s a special talent, but what would the number 1 pick in next year’s draft be worth to another team? Could it be like the whole Ricky Williams bit with Ditka in New Orleans? Would a franchise (Kansas City springs to mind, for example) be inclined to mortgage a good portion of their draft next year (and at least a pick or 2 in the following draft) to trade up to get Luck? Would you agree that he’d be worth a 1st and 2nd round pick, possibly a later round pick as well, in this upcoming draft, and another #1 pick in the following draft? The only reason why I’m bringing this up is because, well, we have a TON of holes to fill. Having multiple picks would be huge, not to mention having 2 first round picks in the 2013 draft. I’m envisioning this:

Trade #1 overall pick to KC in exchange for their 1st round selection, 2nd and 4th in 2012, and their 1st pick in 2013, and select QB Landry Jones with that pick. Yes, I’m sold on him, before you ask.

Trade back into the 1st round with the 2013 1st rounder we picked up in the KC trade, along with the other 2012 2nd and 4th round picks, and select RB Trent Richardson.

Still leaves us with our normal stockpile of draft picks in both the 2012 and 2013 drafts, and you just fixed your QB and RB position for the next 5 years.

I know people have been joking about this but what if we do win 4 or 5 games
get the third pick and end up with a (longsnapper) lineman in the first round and enter the next year without a QB again?

Is there any indication that we are putting the wrong people into the game at the wrong times in order to fail? Just wondering? How does one lose without having it look obvious. because with the talent we have on the team I do not believe we are the worst team in the league.

Even with a new GM he may not get Luck so what then???

watch us sell this teams soul for Luck only to watch him have a career ending injury while still at Stanford.

If this team can’t make a miraculous turnaround and win 10 out of its last 12 games, then I don’t want them winning more than 2. We need to get that QB in place then fill in the holes AROUND him. I don’t expect Luck to make this team instant contenders. Yes we have holes to fill. But with a young stud QB (I’m not assuming he will be but let’s face it, he’s the most mentioned QB named on NFL programming while still in college for a reason) FAs and other players may want to come and play for us. I’d much rather go for the jugular and get whatever we can to get Luck and if there is any resemblance of a God in this world, a NEW COACH AND GM, rather than settle for mediocrity year in and year out. I know I have the patience to see Luck develop with a new coaching staff for a couple seasons, rather than see the same garbage for another 10 years.

I respect everyone’s opinions here, but I honestly do not see why some don’t understand that though we have a puzzle with missing pieces, the franchise quarterback is basically the border or foundation of it which holds it in place. Without the border, it becomes much more difficult to place in the remaining missing pieces.

The biggest part of a successful FRANCHISE, not just team, is the quarterback. I’d definitely make any trade necessary to get Luck, and use the upcoming drafts, trades, and Free Agency to fill in the rest of the team. If we have many holes to fill, the QB isn’t the only one, but it is the MOST IMPORTANT one. This drought will go on much longer without a great QB than without any other position. Enough with the nonsense, we need to go for the kill. I love this franchise, and only caught the last 4 years of Marino’s career. Since then, it’s been tough. We need a new regime and young franchise QB asap.

So I don’t look at it as rooting against the Dolphins..I see it as rooting for the future.. For those of you that will root for Miami to win the last couple weeks even if it means losing Andrew Luck or any other stud QB, I will respect that..But i won’t ever understand it..If it’s cuz you hate seeing them lose, well prepare to stay miserable and keep losing for many years to come. I will easily endure another lousy 12 weeks to have many years of joy with this team. So yes, I am hoping at the end of the season we have the #1 pick with a new coach coming along.
