The toxicity of the negativity is palpable. Many of our fellow Phinsiders have already given up on our team. It is week 5 and many of you have already given up. While you have the choice to cheer any way you want and to be any kind of fan you want, rooting for losses is never on my agenda as a fan. If you are rooting for losses and are genuinely going to be upset if we win games and hurt our chances at a number 1 pick, I only hope that you don't carry over that loser mentality into your personal life. If you give up things because the outcome looks bleak, then you are a quitter. If you ride it out and try your hardest despite the outcome, then you build character and confidence, two things necessary for success. Have any of you out there who are hoping for losses from here on out considered what losing does to athletes? Have you thought about building an environment of with an atmosphere despair? Or are you so narrow minded that you think that what happens this year wont have any psychological effects on the team next year?
My goal here is not to call anyone out or offend anyone, but to hopeful wake up some of you and snap you out of this funk. We are the Miami Dolphins. We are one of the most winning franchises EVER. We are better than this and we are better than the SUCK for LUCK mentality. We are at a crossroad as a franchise, the only way to find the right path is to start winning now. Start winning for pride, for confidence, for this year, for next year. What we do this season will directly affect how we perform next season regardless of the new coaching staff, new draft picks, or new personnel we bring in. Losing franchises continue to lose because they become at ease with it. Losing should hurt regardless of our chances for the playoffs or draft picks. I am not a loser, are you?
