Dolphins Kick Ass: Sucking Not Just for Luck but for Life

OK guys, I'm done.  Is there room for the suck for Luck express?  If so, I am all in baby.  And don't let the title fool you.  I am not saying the Dolphins should suck for life as in "God these guys are going to suck for the rest of their life."  Just read the post yo.

Three weeks in a row, we get teams where impact players are missing, and somehow find ways to lose.  Three weeks in a row, we get into the red zone and come away with more field goals than touchdowns.  Three weeks in a row, we get to watch our highly paid superstars drop balls and miss tackles.  Three weeks in a row, we get to watch the team we love suck the life out of us.

I am a Dolphin fan through and through.  And if you even have the nerve to question my fandom because I am wishing to lose the rest of the way, then you haven't been paying attention.  Everyone has their own way to get behind their team, so this is mine.

First off, expecting the Dolphins to win really isn't an option anymore.  So why fight it?  Why get all pumped up for Sunday when you will be left disappointed?  Next year can be the year that changes everything.  New management, new personnel, and possibly a franchise quarterback.  Something that has been missing from this team for 11 years.  The excitement for Dolphin football is getting to be for naught.  I listened to calls lined up on the Ticket this morning about parents talking about how disinterested their kids are in the Dolphins.  Why?  Because the fan base has been deflated.

Of course, I am still behind this team one hundred percent.  However, in the state the team is right now, it needs an extreme makeover that Ty Pennington isn't capable of performing.  And yes I know all you happy people are going to say, it's only week 4.  We can still turn this around.  Please.    Did you all say that in 2007 too?

Parcells poisoned this franchise.  He sold us out.  He sits there on ESPN and is hailed as a legend, and perhaps he did some great things in the past, but the Miami Dolphins were a stint, a summer vacation for him; an old man trying to recapture his glory.  We have to completely clean out the franchise.  And if losing any many games is what it takes to exterminate the poison, we should be OK with that.  This team is not going to the playoffs, and if we can't beat the fricking Browns without Peyton Hillis, we have no business on the damn field.  Ireland asks players about if their mother is a prostitute or not, Zach Miller, Kevin Boss, and Greg Olsen are all out there for tight ends, instead of drafting QBs, we draft linemen.  When does the bleeding stop?  How

If you see, the pieces are falling into place.  QB injured.  RB injured every other week.  Overpaid players.  Offensive line looks like crap.  Leaders on team calling out everyone.  General manager hiding.  Sounds like 2007, doesn't it?  This season is lost.  So why not hope for the worst, so next year we get the best?  We are not winning anything here.  Put the season in a black bag and move it into the hearse.  Tell you what, give me that one Camarillo moment and I'll be happy, as long as we find a way to get Andrew Luck and a front office that can make something of this team.

I know this is hard to hear, and its hard for me to write.  But sometimes you go through hell to get to heaven.  Let's hope we don't get a prankster like Parcells to fix this thing next season.

I am a Dolphins fan forever.  However, when was the last time you can remember the defense making a big game changing stop?  When was the last time you can remember Henne hitting a play over 30 yards?  When was the last time you saw this team compete when they didn't have an easy schedule and the football Gods gave them a QB and injured the class of QBs in our division?  I remember those days when the Dolphins were one of the greatest franchises in football.  When they were respected and not jeered at.  I want those days again, and I know you do too.  However, you have to be put under when you get a very massive surgery.  And this season, someone hand the fins the oxygen, so they can go out while some doctors are ready to perform.  Just remember when we put that oxygen mask over us, we are not just about to suck for Luck, we are not about to suck for oxygen, we are sucking for our future.  We are sucking for new life.  We are sucking for another chance to be great again, and to contend not just for the division.  Not just for the conference, we are prepared to suck so we can win the whole damn thing!
