Players Angry About "Luck Sweepstakes"

In the article "Andrew Luck Sweepstakes: Riling Up Miami Dolphins Players," by David Facillo, he mentions that  "A pair of Miami Dolphins players are the latest to weigh in on the Suck For Luck phenomenon, and they were not pleased. It is understandable that players don't want to give up on a season, but it should not be remotely surprising that fans of a struggling team are trying to find silver linings." Thanks for understanding David...

OK Dolphin players, we get it, you have pride. We, the fans, are not asking the players and coaches of OUR favorite team, that of which we are so passionate about, to purposely lose the remaining games this season (not that it would be a stretch) just in order to land the top pick of 2012's draft. We are trying so desperately to see some light at the end of this dark and seemingly endless tunnel o' no love. You're not the only ones getting tired of being embarrassed.

This team has "0" fight left in them. Until I see otherwise, then that is the current state of this team, pathetic and poorly coached. The franchise is in disarray. Question: So what is the solution to this mess? Answer: Playing winning football. As Dolphin fans we know the only way to install a winning culture is by simply playing winning football. Easier said then done, I know. One thing we also know that the coaches and management apparently didn't receive the memo on, is we need a franchise quarterback to do so.

Enter: Andrew Luck. Though you never know how a college player will transition to the NFL, it is time for us to take a chance. While it would hurt us immensely to draft Luck and him end up being a bust, at least this organization would be able to shut us up...for now.

Back to the players not being pleased about the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. I haven't abandoned my team, along with the other true Miami fans, nor do I plan on it, but they need to understand our perspective on the situation as well. If we didn't witness pathetic efforts and play calling every week, it wouldn't have come down to this.

With that being said. No more, let's draft a 2nd round QB and look like geniuses for developing him into a franchise QB. No more, moronic play calling that leaves Dolphin fans scratching their heads (this is the pros for crying out loud). No more dropped TD's Brandon. Above all, no more excuses. We MUST take a chance on Andrew Luck. In my opinion, even with some other talented QB prospects, there is no other acceptable option in next years draft besides Luck. Please make it happen Ross. Please bring in a better coaching staff and our potential franchise QB and we will sleep like babies.

It's sad to see this team struggle every week, but something drastic must be done to turn this team around.
