The World Series shifts from St. Louis to Arlington tonight, as the Cardinals take on the Rangers.
"A lot of people thought this was going to be an offensive World Series," Texas shortstop Elvis Andrus stated yesterday. The series has been exactly the opposite.
The Cardinals won the first game 3-2, behind Chris Carpenter's 6.0 innings pictched, 5 hits, 2 earned runs, and 4 strike outs.
The Rangers responded in game two, taking it 2-1, with Colby Lewis pitching 6.2 innings, giving up four hits and 1 earned run, along with 4 strike outs.
Tonight's game starts at 8:05, and will have St. Louis' Kyle Lohse taking the mound against the Rangers' Matt Harrison. Lohse finished the year with a 14-8 record, 111 strikeouts, and a 3.39 ERA. So far in the post teason, he's 0-2, with 7 Ks, and a 7.45 ERA.
Harrison went 14-9 in the regular season, with 126 strikeouts and an identical 3.39 ERA. In the post season, he's 1-0, with 12 Ks and a 4.22 ERA.
