Why does everyone think that Luck wants/would Play for Us?

Seriously? We suck.. I see people saying that if Indy gets the pick, he should refuse to play. Look from a business, winning side. Indy sucks because they lost Manning but still put up points, way more than we do. We just suck. He could learn from Manning & still get paid! There is no promise he would want to play for us! What? Just because of "South Beach"? I think we will probably end up with Landry Jones. Luck could refuse to play for us!

If luck gets drafted first, money will be far from an issue, this won’t happen

This worries me too

but I don’t think he has that kind of attitude at least I hope not. Also (not going to say will because I don’t make the choices) but there could be a lot of changes for us in the off season

Because he would get a fresh start here....

No big shoes to fill. The Marino era is long gone. It would be easy for him to cement his legacy here. As opposed to in Indy where he’d be playing directly in the shadow of Manning…. Let’s face it, we want Luck because the guy doesn’t really seem to need all that much guidance or development. We’re predicting he will come into the league and be a star, that’s why we want him.

I hate all this talk of rookies refusing to play for specific teams

It’s happened only a handful of times in the NFL. Here is one thing to consider. Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson, Sam Bradford, Matt Stafford, Philip Rivers, Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, and a ton of other players were drafted by terrible teams. You know what? Nearly all top five picks were selected by terrible teams.

Luck could refuse to play for us… and be selected by another terrible team. Yes, the Colts have Manning, but that doesn’t mean it’s a great situation for Luck. It’d be great to learn from him, but you could also be riding the pine for 4-5 years on a team that has little talent surrounding Manning. Indy is a terrible team.

Let’s not rush to think Luck will refuse to play for Miami because a few selfish dumbasses have done it before. Or if you want, let’s go doom and gloom all the way and say no experienced HC would ever want to coach Miami, whoever our first round pick will be will refuse to play for us and not just Luck. Couldn’t Landry Jones refuse to play for us just as easily as Luck? Hell, maybe we’re stuck with no drafted QBs (they all refuse) and then even Chad Henne says “F this I’m out of here” and we’re stuck with Matt Moore, who may just retire instead of play for Miami.

Just wanted to talk about something other than last night.. done heard all the Sparano/Ireland stuff. Marshall stuff, etc;

& every decade or so, a top QB whom everybody wants, this goes back to the 60’s that I have seen on NFL Network, will refuse to play because “I dont know” ..

I was just asking a question.. same question as last year about Carolina getting Luck

he didnt want to play for Carolina

new HC, new cordinators, etc.. Many people say he just wanted to go back to school, Many people say that the reasons I said is why he didnt come out last year. Living near Carolina, I read much about the draft, and everyone has a different opnion about why he didnt come out, but what if that was the case? Then many of our players HATE playing in our staudium because of the fake noise.. I dunno, just asking a question
