Steven Ross says Eric Mangini meeting was set up because Dawn Aponte said Mangini wanted to speak with him.... Stephen Ross confirmed that he did meet with Eric Mangini, but "not about coaching.... Thought it would be an interesting opportunity".... Ross on Mangini: "Knowing his reputation as being a bright, brilliant football mind, I thought it would be an interesting opportunity"....

Might Ross be hinting that Mangini called about the offensive coordinator position?
Ross did say at the conference that Mangini sent Tony Sparano Friday. Could Mangini have been asking Sparano to consider him for the OC position? I I think so. And it looks like Ross approves. It's Mangini's job to lose.
Or he could also be calling about Bill Parcells old position, but I really hope not. I'll take him as my OC. But I for one do not want to see Mangina running the team...
