John Clayton reported that Miami brought in Eric Mangini as a consultant to learn about the division, and other football things. He just said it on NFL Live. If this is true fellow fin fans, we are beyond screwed....we are doomed forever. We now look like the Raiders of the East...WTF

He had two 5-11 seasons with the Brownies.
And got fired.

To think he might've been considered for a job is horrifying.
To cover it up and say it was about consulting is laughable.

Of course Tom Brady has to marry someone with Giz in her name. How fitting???
Where is Oronde Gadsden when we need him?
Guys, this has to be rock bottom IMO!!!!

I think everyone has lost their mind.
This says the meeting never took place.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts. ~ John Wooden
He was heavily involved with two teams that are in the division
Its not like we are interviewing him for the HC position. Please don’t go all crazy with this story, did we learn nothing from the Harbaugh situation?
With all the media going around we honestly have no clue what is going on
Still, this could have a reasonable explanation
Ross may know Mangini
Mangini may be a very good consultant on several things having to do with coaching. He did take the Jets to the playoffs after all. I am not saying he is a good coach, but consulting and doing are not completely the same skill set. some people can be good consultants for things they themselves aren’t perfect for, especially if they have are an outsider.
Mangini may be an unofficially acknowledged expert on a few things that may not have helped him succeed as a coach but may still be of use. “I need to know about X.” “Talk to Mangini, he knows all about that stuff…”
Of course, if he actually was being considered for HC I will take all the alcohol in my house and drink it tonight. And it is not a small amount.
"The first thing I do when I get out of bed and feel the jolt in my knees is think of Roy Winston. On the second step, my calcified Adam's apple starts bobbing, and I think of Carl Eller. A few more steps in the dark and it's Willie Lanier. By the time I get to the bathroom, I'm flashing back to Dick Butkus and Ray Nitschke. And when the light finally comes on, I just hope that somewhere in the darkness they're thinking of me, too" - Larry Csonka.
