Harbaugh or Cowher, Cowher or Harbaugh. Oh, the choices!
Thanks to the recent news that has surfaced about us possibly landing Harbaugh, I am pleasantly excited.
Unfortunately, not all fans think like me. Most like to find the negativity in everything. But, Im here to squash any doubts you may have.
For me the choice is Obvious, I chose Harbaugh.
Unfortunately, not everyone does and I don't understand why.
This is the main issue. I’ve seen numerous fans call for Cowher instead of Harbaugh. I’ve figured these fans are calling for him blindly and simply because he is the "hot" name. Don’t get me wrong I think Cowher is a really good coach and any team should be glad to have him. But Harbaugh is the man for THIS job.
The man has Balls. Which is something the Dolphins don’t!
A couple years ago he was a 40 point dog to USC (when they were good) and Stanford beat the hell outta them and when they met again Harbaugh was rubbing it in. Pete Carroll even ask him what was his problem, to which Harbaugh replied, "What’s your problem?". The man got balls and is not afraid to show it. He has an offensive mind and is a really good at developing Quarterbacks.
How good is he? Let’s put it this way. A couple year ago Harbaugh picked up a kid off the streets and turned him into a 4th round pick. Off the streets! That’s unheard of!
I honestly like this guy. I like his "Come hard or go home" mentality and IMHO, that’s exactly what we need. A guy that’s not afraid to go for it on fourth down, a guy who won’t settle for field goals, a guy who will blow out an opponent when given the chance. I hated the Tony Sparano mentality of playing not to lose, we need to play to win and that’s what Harbaugh brings to the table!
Now I know several people are gonna say he gonna fail because College coaches never transfer over "successfully", which I think is BS. Look at Jimmy Johnson, he did just find. Ditto, he had most of the team built (as do we now) we’re just missing a couple pieces and truly believe Harbaugh is the correct man to fill in those pieces.
Now you say: "Cowher is a more experience, proven coach."
Okay, you got me there. But there’s a difference between me and you. Im not afraid to try new things. Im not afraid to take chances. Yes! I know. It may backfire, but I rather backfire trying then not trying at all. What makes you so sure Cowher will succeed here? Most of his success was thanks to Pittsburgh’s Defense and last time I checked Dick LeBeau was the man behind that Defense. So my credits go to him, since well, they are still a menace without Cowher!
I know Cowher is a defense oriented guy, but I like our defense now and I refuse to let Nolan walk just to get Cowher. Don’t fix what isn’t broken.
With that said. Our offense is a mess and we need to fix that. So why would you get a Defensive minded coach instead of an Offensive minded coach. Come on! Think about it.
Would you take old and experienced or young and exciting. I don’t know about you, but Im taking young and exciting.
Here’s a quick link to Harbaugh’s Bio. Read through it and learn about the man behind the name:

By the way, can we all agree that Tony is basically done in Miami, right? I mean even if we don’t land Harbaugh (knock on wood) you gotta think Tony confidence is on the floor and that he lost respect in that locker room. Kinda reminds me of what he did to Henne (Ain't that a female dog). So this decision by Ross is basically all in.
All or nothing. Let's gamble.
