PRACTICE AND THE GAME

For starters, I believe Sparano to be a good coach. I hope he gets to stay; however, if he gets dismissed, we (as fans) will have to accept whoever we get. My last job, everyone was saying "C" (the head boss) needs to go. A couple people said, "Be careful of what you wish for." Several people stabbed him in the back, we had his first assistant as the new leader and as it turned out, she was no leader at all. Very manipulative, very paranoid, not a good communicator and she definitely did not know what an executive leader is made of. I wouldn't follow in line, I wouldn't give up my soul, I wouldn't give up my honor and self respect and I was eventually released (fired). I tell you all this, strangers to me, yet my "brothers and sisters" because we must be VERY aware of what we wish for.

If Tony stays for one more year, and it's 9-7, 10-6 and we still fail to make the playoffs or lose, then what do we have? Did we miss our only opportunity for a change this year? Who's to say? With that said, I want to make this statement.

In practice, Tony doesn't tell his WR not to catch the ball. Tony doesn't tell them, "don't reach out for the ball." Tony doesn't tell the RB, dance for 15 seconds, then make your move. By that time, the line is crushed. Tony doesn't tell his OL don't block. Tony doesn't tell the LB and DB not to tackle. Tony doesn't tell the DB to not catch the ball if it's in your chest between the numbers. Tony doesn't tell the DL not to rush the opposing OL.

So, what happened? It's not the coaching. It's not the practicing. I read a great many of your writings, your opinions, your facts - they come from your heart, I know. What the hell is happening on the field because he doesn't preach this on the practice field.

I was watching St. Louis at Seattle last night (here in NYC). Rams - ROOKIE QB Sam Braddford - possible Rookie of the Year. And we have to have a QB sit and learn for one year? I don't get it. I want us to draft a QB in April. We are close enough now to go up 10 spots, maybe less. There are a great deal of players to choose from and someone may drop. If not, we need a QB and put him in just like Brafford, jjust like Sanchez, just like Ryan, just like Flacco, just like the rest of the rookies, Clausen, Tebow, Stafford. We will NOT be any worse.
