January 14, 1973 the Miami Dolphins defeated the Washington Redskins 14-7 in Super Bowl VII, capping off the only undefeated season in NFL history.
I'm one of the oldtimers that actually remembers watching this Super Bowl. Strange as it seems the undefeated Dolphins were actually a three point underdof going in to the game.
The Dolphins "D" held the 'skins without an offensive touchdown and their only points came on the infamous Garo Yepremian pass attempt that was run back by Mike Bass for a TD.
