Working out the Kinks

Rolle wanted a whole lot of money that he probably didn’t deserve, to be honest (not saying I didn’t want him though) and Clark was using Miami as leverage. If we are going to play impossibles then I want Revis, Asomougha, Bailey, Byrd and Bell up there.

Allen would not be back until Week 4 most likely. And supposedly Jason Allen is improving, and making strides. I do feel shaky when it comes to our secondary, especially because Vontae is banged up now too, but if it all comes together during the season, we will all suddenly forget the pre-season woes.

First off, the FO has always been fairly high on J. Allen. I do agree that Smith is a better player, but if he’s in a slump right now and Allen is doing better in camp, put him in.

Secondly, it’s only Monday. We have a while till the game on Sunday. This could very easily be a diversion tactic to throw the Bills off or just a way to get Smith to work harder to get back to what he was last year and even better.

For me, like i said in my post from a couple days ago, while there are reasons to be concerned about our secondary, my concern lies directly on the offensive line.

Yes defense is a very important part in football. Hell I’ve played on that side of the ball my entire life and have coached it. BUT, if the offense is solid and can keep scoring drives going, it takes some pressure off the defense. Which means that a secondary with concerns, though still vital to be fixed, has some leverage and would allow Nolan to create different packages to let them play to their ability and still have room to grow as a player.

With a o-line that has been changing players with cuts, signings and trades and also making substitutions while actually in the game, it’s difficult to have an offense that can score drive after drive.
