Per Omar Kelly on Twitter: "The Dolphins have released Charlie Anderson to make room for recently signed Bobby Carpenter, who is a strong special teams contributor." Cutting Anderson saves Miami from having to pay him $2.2 million. Anderson has posted just five sacks in his last 32 games. Carpenter will likely be the Fins nickle backer; the role they had envisioned for rookie A.J. Edds prior to his season ending injury.
