We all know how close we were to going 3-0 as Matty stated several times along with many of you (eventhough I cant get over Langford dropping that pick 6!!!)...but am I the only one that thinks we are going to take out all our frustration out on the pats? I know how good the pats can be but I know how good they are now, and for some reason I have this gut feeling that we are going to come out on Monday night and really make a serious statement.
For one, the Pats defense doesnt scare me one bit after giving up 30 pts to the bills last week behind Fitzpatrick. Their secondary is awful and I expect us to exploit that weakness as much as possible. They lack a consistent pash rush and if we can contain Wilfork on the D-line I think we should have some success running the ball. I just feel that their defense is not capable of stopping our offense if we are clicking like we did vs the Jets. Their 0-line is really hurting without Mankins and Kaczur regardless if Brady has only been sacked twice or whatever the number is. He avoids that by throwing quick passes which I will admit we do have trouble defending. But I dont know why, my gut is telling me we are going to come out and really take it to them.
The main thing that worries me is as most of you would agree with, we have trouble covering tight ends for whatever reason and they have two very talented ones. But what I don't understand is why the heck is Dansby not covering these guys? Isnt this what we brought him in to do?...I'm hoping when Crowder comes back, he can take care of the run stopping duties and let dansby follow the tight end.
Last game we didnt have 4 starters in Jerry, Odrick, Francis, and Crowder...I know Jets were missing Revis, Pace, and Holmes so i dont want to try and make an excuse but im hoping when we get our guys back, that our run defense starts producing like we know it can...we are missing that penetration up the middle that Starks would normally bring and why we didnt sign Charles Grant is still beyond me, I think we could've and still could really use his production.
But here is to hoping that like many of you have said including matty and ohiophinfan4life...we win this game and forget about last week's tough loss...expect Ronnie to really get going this week, im expecting a couple of td's from him...
