Are We Being Too Hard On Pat White?

Why are we so down on Pat White?  It is true that White didn't play much in 2009 and when he did, he was ineffective despite being a 2nd round pick (2009 NFL draft), however we should also remember that he was only a rookie last year, opponents knew what was coming as White only came in during "Wildcat" plays, and it wasn't as if he was expected to be the future QB of the franchise since we have Chad Henne (our 2nd round pick from the 2008 draft).  Given time, experience and reps, I believe that Pat White can be a good NFL QB.  After all, his play as a starter at West Virginia speaks for itself.  Pat White played in 49 games at West Virginia with a win/loss record of 42-9 (4-0 in bowl games).  In his Mountaineer career, White completed 507 of 783 passes (64.8%) for 6,049 yards, 56 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.  He rushed for 4,480 yards and  47 touchdowns.  Why not give Pat White another year to show that he can play football in the pros?
